Some excellent and entertaining stuff here, but my own opinion is that the psychology of it all doesn't really matter. Both teams will surely be 100% motivated anyway, so the 'extra motivation' theory doesn't really wash. It will be a tough game that could go either way and will be decided by the odd piece of brilliance or the odd mistake, I imagine. And that would also have been the case had we picked Leeds. You've just got to play hard and smart, and maybe get a bit of luck when you need it.

One of the things I have gathered from this ClubCall is the immense amount of Huddersfield fans that have chips on their shoulders.

A very decent and sensible post, but I must make the point that I don't think anyone regards it as a "foregone conclusion". There are four teams left, and each on their day can beat any other. It'll be squeaky bum time on Thursday night for all of us. You've just got to plot what seems the most rational course to try and win it, which is what the Clubcall was about. And if we lose it doesn't mean we made the wrong choice; if you reckon you've got a 75% chance of beating one team and a 50% chance of beating another and you go for the 75% one, you may lose but it doesn't make it the wrong choice. And yes, if we do lose I'll be hoping Hudds go on to win.

That's my exact sentiments about it all.....We knew we were gonna get called out as we are the perceived weakest of the teams - the others do have a higher play-off pedigree than us - added to Wire's recent domination of us and it was nailed on your club were going to see us as the easiest route to the final, fine by me, i expected it..........The problem for Warrington now is you HAVE to beat us, obviously to get to Old Trafford but also to not look extremely stupid should you fail now you have made your choice.

As Paul Anderson has been saying all year the Huddersfield Giants of 2013 intend to create their own legacy, we have 2 more games to do this....Beating you lot is the hard part as i believe we will win the GF if you're not there.....Thursday is huge for both clubs in different ways, it's a knockout game and we have improved massively since the cup game and are fired up to not just beat you lot but win the bloody lot !!

The players want to win something that they were 30mins away from doing last season, picking you lot means NOTHING to the end goal, its still the same.

It's time there was a new name on that trophy, and one side that has not won it will be at OT next weekend. After the Wigan defeat, I thought there would be only one choice Warrington could make, and that would have been the winner of the Hudds v Hull game. Watching Huddersfield perform as they did nearly changed my mind, but I still think it is the right call, but the Giants confidence must be sky high after the job they did against Hull. Having said that, after putting 40 points on Leeds, ours isn't exactly rock bottom.

I think Wigan will beat Leeds at the DW, and I think this could have been behind some of the thinking too. Playing Leeds once in the play off series is more than enough, as this is when they are in their element, especially when it comes to games against Warrington.

I am going to a Wigan Wire final, which is what people are said to have been wanting for years. That will be a genuine spectacle under the lights. Now though, Huddersfield need to be put away as they have been on most other occasions. Now is not the time to relinquish our dominance over them, now is when we reiterate it
