| You can buy nice plain T-shirts in H&M or M&S for £5 that don't have embarrassing names like Lee Cooper written on them.
Specialist stores > Debenhams > M&S > H&M > Asda > Tesco > Primark > 99p Stores > Sports Direct

| Why is Lee Cooper an embarrassing name to have on a T-shirt? I own a pair of lounge attire on the form of grey lonsdale slacks. Does that make me a nondescript with little idea about fashon? the fact you would (in you nicely presented list) rate:
M&S, H&M, Asda, Tesco, Primark, 99p stores and sports direct; over other stores such as: Topman, Bank, Blue inc, Republic and River Island gives me great insight as to what fashion is really all about.
Thank you for helping me realize where to shop

All those shops are atrocious, as are all the places I mentioned other than Debehams and M&S, but they're all superior to the absolute bottom of the pile which is Sports Direct.

Dropkick, I hope you aren't trolling. SHOCK HORROR: I agree with almost everything you have said.
Blue harbour do a wonderful range (jumpers and shirts)
M and S do lovely smart shoes and some nice casual trousers too.
H/e I have found primark do nice fitting plain t shirts, that don't fall apart though.
Asda for socks
And anything in between when I see it in charity shops etc.
People who shop for casual clothes at sports direct, bank, river island or any of those are fools. Anyone who shops for smart stuff there is beyond help.
I do disagree with you about sneakers/ trainers (casual shoes) but you were bound to be wrong about something

| Picture the scene
Lefty Goldblatt goes into Sports Direct for a pair of golf kecks, last Saturday
Dunlop £9.99
2 yards away, there's a pair of Adidas, retailing at £35.99
Guess which one Mr Goldblatt goes for, thus ensuring more tokens for red wine/ beer/ malt whisky.
HMMMMMMM
The spending of VAST amounts of money on tracksuits/trainers/"trendy" named attire, makes me laugh more than a Sam Tomkins knock-on, with the line at his mercy. Particularly when the same "trendy" stuff is made in the same Malaysian sweatshops. That and the "D'ya like me trackie top. 'smint innit? Only 90 quid'nall!", attitude. Hilarious.

What makes me laugh is people who shop at Sports Direct for clothes that they're going to wear for any other purpose than playing sports.
I'm not one to say to people 'guess how much this coat cost?' etc. But if you've got the money to spend, then I don't see what's wrong with buying expensive clothes. I also find that as well as looking and fitting better, due to the quality of the material a £60 polo shirt for example will last for a lot longer than a £5 one, so there are benefits sometimes to a greater initial outlay.

| I bought a blue and yellow striped rugby shirt at 'Old Navy' clearance centre in Brooklyn with the master plan in mind that I would wear it at Wembley. Not only was it in the 'final reductions' section but some woman we met gave us a voucher. As a result it cost about $4. I have to admit that it's too big but a more pressing problem is that the colours are too dark. The plan was to bleach it in the sun but we've not had the weather for it. I'm desperately hoping that the jet stream will move north any day now. (Although I'm born and brought up in Warrington my mother was from Yorkshire) Beat that for being tight.
