Two years ago I think we had 8000 season ticket holders so ten percent on that would make 8800 so I bet last year we must have got more season ticket holders so I reckon we can't be too far off 10 k ourselves ! And tbh I don't understand why the club will say ten percent up rather than we have to date sold x amount of season tickets which is an increase of 10%
Please can the club confirm how many we have sold just to satisfy curiosity ?

To be honest I'd have been very surprised if we hadn't have sold more season tickets. I was privileged to watch the best rugby that I've seen in my 35 years of watching the Wire last season and if that doesn't get people flocking to the HJ then nothing will.

Fantastic news, it justifies the expansion, speeds up return on investment, plus future development plans could be pushed forward at this rate.

In 2008 we sold 5000 season tickets in the seated area alone so I would guess that they sold at least 3000 in the southstand that same season so between 2008 and now i can see us selling at least another 1500 tickets !

Me too (25 years) but that's damning with faint praise considering some of the dross we've had to watch over the years!

Great stuff. Website says that last years average attendance was 11,500, hopefully match day ticket sales can rise to a similar degree. In that case we'd be looking at an average attendance of 12,650.

However, I'm assuming that quite a few of the 10% will have been people who were match day ticketers last year, so it would be optimistic to hope for that. Good news though, long may it continue.

Update, it is confirmed in the St Helens Star that Saints have sold over 9500 tickets now (not quite 10K yet)
But that still great for us, I think Saints can realistically achieve an average of 14k next season.
