a)Terraces
b)Changing ends at half time
c)Reasonably priced ale
d)Near a mainline train station (not St Helens Central which is useless)

| They are building a super structure bridge that will connect the new stadium with the nearby town centre and St Helens central train station. It will literally be a 5/10 min walk from the ground to the main train station in St Helens that's all. Also by car the stadium is just off the Linkway Road, so it will be dead easy to access off the M62. Personally It could not be in a better location for train or car access.

St Helens Central is helpful if you want to go to Liverpool or Wigan. If you don't then it might as well not exist.
Admittedly St Helens Junction isn't much better, but it serves Manchester regularly and quickly which is why I like it.
The entire town of St Helens is basically cut adrift from the rail system though as you can go to very few places from there without changing in Liverpool, Wigan or Manchester.
The only thing I liked about Warrington in the eighteen years that I lived there was the fact it was nice and easy to get a train out of the place.

Most fans come by coach anyway, so a stadium just off the M62 is ideal
Anyway as for stadium check out the photos of Saints new stadium on Redvee.net or on our RLFans site, spot on, will be one of the best, if not the best.

| Saints is clearly the most impressive facility of those rugby grounds listed. The football grounds are obviously going to be superior, particularly Hull's.
How you rate it though can only come from experience. Can you get in without queueing for twenty minutes? Can you go for a wee at HT without spending all half time bum to todger with other overweight neanderthals? Can you get a cold (or warm) drink of decent quality and a decent bit of food?
Saints new ground is good for fat people. KFC, Burger King, McDonalds, Subway and Frankie & Bennies all in walking distance.

| For me
Preferable situations
Modern, yeah the old ones are nostalgic but they are usually a bit pap
Railway station within 10 minutes walk
Loads of car parking spaces within 10 mins of the ground, either free or less than £5
Pubs, lots of them so that everyone isn't piled in the same place in a ma-who-sive queue
Standing, behind the sticks only.
Fast queues under the terrace at half time for beer and burgers.

No only a WA1, WA2, WA3. WA4 and WA5 postcode is good enough all the rest don't count.

| I've voted for Stains - based on next season - I've been in it quite a few times (we supply a lot of the materials for it), and it's a great stadium - a proper rugby league stadium - it achieves that by, when you're in there it feels quite small, compact, yet it's got a good capacity - it's close to the pitch etc - it will have a great atmosphere I believe. being like ours, with a side and an end for standing, and a side and an end for sitting I think (seats weren't all in last time I was there). But, I didn't realise that it won't be a proper bowl, like say Hull, because it still only has two corners filled in, like ours will be, and will have two corners open - although, because of the glass and steel that surrounds the whole ground in an oval, it will feel like a bowl (an probably will have those corners filled in a couple of years when they start filling it regularly - apparently they just slot in, unlike ours that need a full construction program).
Couldn't vote for Hull or Wigan, because to me, they are just average sized football grounds that have rugby teams playing there.
Salford new ground looks good, not too dissimilar to ours, but won't be a good as Stains (mainly because it will have about 14000 fewer people in it!)

| Out of Wigan's, Hull's or Huddersfield's.
Shame they don't fill the stadium.
