Quote JWP="JWP"He's been good but not great hasn't he.
He's a bit like going to the Toby Carvery - Louis, you're fine with what you get at £5.99, sometimes it's better than others, veg seems fresher etc, saves doing the dishes and all that, if they bumped the price upto £12.99, fark off.
If Louis has found someone who's happy to pay £12.99, fair play to him.'"
Fair comparison that JWP. If he is getting better money elsewhere for his services then that is fair enough, I certainly wouldn't want us to pay over the odds for a player like him as he is replaceable. Although I've got to admit I will miss the toughness and bits of biff he brings to the side. The bustling runs complemented with a reasonable amount of aggression he had in his game was important to us at times, he is a tough competitor and I've never seen him take a backward step during his time with us and in time I could of seen him potentially develop into a prop forward if he put more bulk on him, he [icould [/iof been a good replacement for Morley/Carvell in future years. Saying that as second rowers come he was ideal to our style of play as he has a decent offloading game and has good hands for a forward (played at Hooker in the past). However he was prone to odd error and shooting out the line, but generally if he made a mistake you knew a good shot/run was only on the horizon. Under Tony Smith he really came on leaps on bounds like a lot of our players, his performances become more and more impressive and he cemented his position in the side especially since Smith took over in 2009. One of his most memorable moments was his try last year against Catalans in the semi final of the Challenge Cup he was on fire that day and grabbed a couple of quality tries.
This year though he has struggled with injuries and missed quite a lot of game. If you would of said to me "Who would play more games for us this season Solomona or Landerson?" I would say Landerson every time. And while Grix has managed to stay fit and plug away in that left second row position Grixys performances have been very impressive this year, along with the signing of Trent Waterhouse, so I'm not too disappointed about Landersons departure as we have good cover. Good luck Louis Anderson and all the best, thanks for the memories.
