| Quote the flying biscuit="the flying biscuit"Wow that's generous to hullkr. In the second half they only got into our half courtesy of the worst referee in the whole sporting world. It was a ridiculous game we played like schoolboys at times and only played anything like contenders for honours in the first and last five minutes.
Back on topic probably best I've seen blythe play but he's hardly set the world on fire in the past.'"
Sounds like football is more your game mate. Hull KR were brilliant in defence and Alibert reffed the game well and let the game flow wherever possible. He made a cock-up for their try off a forward pass/knockon, and when he somehow missed Atkins' knock-on, but no ref can have a perfect game.
Blythe was excellent, he put himself about and was solid in defence. He got through an impressive amount of work.

| He was caught out of position once in the 1st half when Welham made a break. Luckily he kicked and blew the chance. Other than that he had a good, if not great game. That said he was still in the top 3/4 Warrington players today.

I was stood right next to that break,Briers was shouting at Joel to drop back...so as soon as Joel dropped back the HKR dummy half clocked it and ran strait down that side.
As soon as Hodgson cleared up Briers held his hands up and apologised to Joel, wasn't Joel's fault...

Could be something connected to your distinctly wendyballian avatar? Plus it is undoubtedly true that HKR's defence was very good today, not hard to recognise by any run-of-the-mill RL fan.

| Blythe made great yards today, also did his first team chances no harm at all.

| Hold my hands up. I've always doubted his ability, but he was excellent yesterday.

| Not convinced, he's big and athletic, he looks the part but i'm not sure he's good enough for a team wanting to challenge for the top honours.

| Though Matty handled himself superbly, he must of been under a massive amount of pressure to do well and grab the oppurtunity with both hands. Take my hat off to him he did nothing wrong.
I expect he will be dropped as soon as the others are fit, irrelevant of how he plays and knows it too..showed great character.
Thought hodgeson was awful, and we could have had 2 more tries if he hadn't been so greedy and gone for the line instead of passing to Riley. He did score at the end admittedly but overall a poor performance, remind me why did we sign him, kicking...lol
All things considered thought it was a great game, edge of the seat stuff...brilliant..

| it was very tough game and no player had a awful game. if hodgson went on took the try line on and scored a hat trick would you say it was an awful display no. just that things didn't work every time doesn't mean it is a bad performance. in the end hodgson taking on the line got us the game winning try.
blythe had a good game yesterday and honestly didn't want him to play before the match but he proved me like many wrong.
hopefully that good test will help us prepare for the battle at saints, but we have to improve if we are going to get anything out of that game. but i think there is going to be a lot of game like that yesterday where a team just take it at the end as it is a very close competition nowadays.

| But he did, and didnt get a hat trick.... thats the point Riley was in the clear to score both times,, poor decision making in my opinion for such an experienced guy...
But as you say it was a tough contest,,,bring on the rest of the season..

| Really impressed with Matty. Didn't look anything other than solid. His defence was excellent and looked to offload the ball when he had the chance. Ben Harrison looks a bit out of sorts to me. Didn't look like he'd recovered from the injury he picked up at MM. Micheal Monaghan and Moz were the pick of the bunch for me. Woody had a good game off the bench as usual.
