Is it just me, or did you think Dave 'nosey' Parkers little paragraph on Briers in the leaguer a little bit odd. Something along the lines of 'Briers has been telling his friends he has aggravated his ankle injury'. Sounds like he maybe doesn't believe him.

I'd take Parker with a pinch of salt. It wasn't long ago he was telling us all we had signed Danny Tickle.

Well, what I do know is that a poster off here who is one of the straightest, down the middle blokes that you'll meet, bumped into Briers last Thursday when he was named in our 19, saw his ankle and couldn't believe the state of it.
So that'll do for me. |

I wouldn't take a non-medical opinion or speculation from anyone other than at the club on this. I remember seeing Mike Greg the day of a match walking through town - though when I say walk, he barely could his knee was that bad. A few hours later he was leading us out at Wilderspool with a typical 100% performance. How he managed to run on that leg never mind turn in the performance he did will forever be beyond me. |

Mike relied a lot on these in his latter playing years according to his book.
