| Apparently going over the cap now it is live is impossible so that is out of the question.
I think Warrington may just have some good deals in there but people think players are being paid more than they actually are and as NickyKiss said players have also left so it could balence out.
The only other possibility is that Warrington could be paying players extra on the side like we did with Renouf when his wife got paid £300,000 to work in the kitchens if they are doing this then they will be found out and points will be taken away from them.
IMO they are innocent untill proven guilty!
Great signings for Warrington.

I had my thoughts about Wires salary cap at the weekend when i heard they'd signed these players and at first thought how could they be fitting them in but then when you look at the players leaving it does make sense.
When you signed Rauhihi he was very highly rated in the NRL and was a Kiwi international and when Johnson was signed he was playing very well for Bradford and for GB. I'd guess both of these would be on small fortunes at Wire tbh and i can see their wages covering the salaries of Myler and Atkins at least and then theres the departures of Reardon and Gleeson during this season and possibly a couple of lesser players at the end of this year.
'"
I believe that the 'outs' salaries are still quite a bit higher than the ins (Gleeson >>£ Atkins, Johnson =£ Solomona, Reardon =£ Mathers, Rauhihi >>£ Myler), and I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't another high(ish) profile signing yet to be announced.

| Just been reading the rules and regs of the salary cap and if you are creative you can back a bus through them
For example, and this is my take and interpretation.
One reg states that if players play in a game that the RFL deem to be in the interests of the sport, eg. pre season friendly against Barrow then thos e payments are exempt from salary cap value.
Even a man of the match award could technically be not included.
And there are others
So that's when players get their big pay days

| There is not even a case to answer so there is no need to even say that we are innocent until proven guilty.
stop judging wire by wigans standards.

Whereas, as a random example, Leeds merely have the likes of Jamie Peacock, Danny McGuire, Rob Burrow, Danny Buderus, Scott Donald, Ali Lauitiiti, Brent Webb, Keith Senior, Kevin Sinfield, Ryan Bailey, Ryan Hall, Matt Diskin, Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Kylie Leuluai squeezed into their salary cap.
We're not the only side with a good playing roster, for God's sake.

Somebody mentioned teams starting to use staggered payments in players contracts at alot of superleague teams so it's possible the likes of King and Monaghan could be getting paid more for 2010 then they were for 08 or 09.
I know we were meant to be doing that with Barrett and now possibly with Gleeson. I think it's a way of fitting these guys in whilst they're available.
If Wire sign anybody else i think it may just be a lesser profile prop forward. I know people were mentioning Moi Moi but theres surely no way he's get a visa.

| It's plain for all to see Reardon & Gleeson left in 2009 only for Reardon to be replaced by Mathers. Big earners such as Johnson & Rah to go out along with Briers pay being reduced in salary terms. This is not an issue, just a sign that under Tony smith we are now ahead of the game and he is driving us forward to where we & he wants us to be. Let's not be too concerned regarding these silly jibes that stem from envy.
P.S Thank you Mr Moran.

I doubt the likes of King or Monaghan will be on increasing contracts. They were established names who probably had several clubs to choose when they moved. Gleeson at wigan could be different as he apparently specifically wanted to go to wigan.
I suspect that due to their age and relative inexperience Myler and Atkins could be increasing contracts with Mylers in particular heavily weighted towards the back end. [i(Of course this is just my own speculation, but I don't believe any RL club, Wire included, would pay a 19 year old in excess of £100K!)[/i

| One of us needs to alert the accounting staff at Warrington Wolves immediately to make sure that they are aware of the existence of the salary cap and the implication for non-compliance.
It may come as a complete shock to them and they need to act fast to ensure compliance.
On the other hand they might have everything completely under control.

The results won't be known for about 3 months.
