Sportsman, Gentleman, Hero
LEGEND
We’ve waited too long for this day to come
Thirty thousand Wires standing as one
All travelling down, a sight to be seen
Man, woman and child sharing one dream
Tension in the crown as kick off draws near
Mixed emotions: excitement and fear
Restlessness as we huddle like cattle
Then Morley appears ready for battle
The rest of the team follow to fight to the death
The hooter sounds and we all hold our breath
Again the fans will have their own role
To sing and show passion deep from the soul
There may be times the players feel beat
Feeling too weak to achieve this huge feat
With their hopes and dreams they’ll look to the skies
To see a Primrose and Blue haze in front of their eyes
Then comes the roar; we never stop believing
This is one relationship we won’t be leaving
Cut us we bleed like everyone, that’s true
The difference being we bleed Primrose and Blue!:32195.jpg |

| Andy Gatcliffe and Simon Moran have taken quite a degree of stick from certain fans over the past couple of years - I hope these people read this article.
Very enlightening and just shows how the clubs fortunes have been transformed.
The late, great Peter Deakin should also not be forgotten. It was his drive, desire and ambition that got the ball rolling - we are now seeing the fruits of his toil.

| Its a credit to Gatcliffe and Moran and the many other people behind the scences how far Warrington have come. They are now building for long term success on the field as well with the youth structure they have built.
Wembley here we come the nerves have set in good style now.....

| I hope with some of the extra profit (turnover is vanity, bottomline is sanity), they will consider reducing the price of season tickets, would be great to capture some of the bandwagon fans at the right price and hopefully they will stay forever...nice reward for the core fan base too.
The attendances of late have worried me and I hope the club don't bank on final apperance on increasing next years gate

| I wouldn't have thought it was the price of season tickets alone that drops the attendance. It's the performance on the pitch and the success or lack of that it brings. It's as simple as that. If anything, the prices may increase as the club can get extra profit from increased sales due to this success in the cup. People will pay it and let's face it, the price of a season ticket for our club compared to other sports is fantastic value. We want the club to be successful and they can't do that by cutting season ticket prices

| Lets take more money from the fans because we have been to a final...great business strategy.
I still doubt we will get many gates over 10k next year, like we used to get in the first few years of the HJ reign.
We need to capture these new fans ASAP...would be great to see season tickets (at whatever price) being sold with a week or two or Wembley. Get the bandwagon fans in whilst they are still hot

| Before anyone jumps in I'd like to say good luck to you Wires, I really hope you win on Saturday, I'll be in the pub rooting for you, But the previous comments on how the clubs fortunes have been transformed are at best bizaar, with the quality you have available in your team, I think its fair to expect a position in the league, with two games to go where your not reliant on other teams losing, this in my opinion is a backward step even from last year, enjoy your big day at the CC final, but don't let people use it to paper over very serious cracks.

Our league position is purely as a result of the poor start to the season that we had...
Smith came in, confidence was low but from the moment that first win was recorded we have gradually climbed the table.
To think a couple of wins from those first half dozen games would have seen our place in the end of season competition secured....

You are correct to suggest that this season's league form has been disappointing....however, you suggest that we have 'serious cracks'??...I would actually suggest we HAD serious cracks, which slowly, but surely, are being fixed (our progress in the Cup being ample proof).
I still believe we have some way to go, before we are anywhere near the finished product, but I am certainly a lot more confident that with Tony Smith at the helm, the next few years will see us perform a lot more strongly in the league competition.

Well, if people will pay it, then it is a great business strategy. They're not a charity.

So nothing to do with only winning two of your last seven

Wembley 09 - if it never gets better than that, at least I was there....
Wembley 10 - it did........and I was there again.
2011 - SL League Leaders.
2012 - CC Winners...great day, great friends
Blimey, its getting good this supporting thing (or am I a fan.....):d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_24098.jpg |

| Know what your saying, but feel that TS may have, not exactly written this season off, but has plans in place for a full season next year (yeah I know, there's always next year...), where he can really get to grips with a full season performance. New players, and I include the youngsters in that, not necessarily many imports.
I for one certainly hope so.
Obviously if we have the Challenge Cup in the cabinet that is going to help spur things on.
He has talked before about having a strong pre-season, and really think the guy is a strategist.

As I said had we won a couple of the games earlier in the season we would have been in the playoffs now.
You're right in what you are saying about recent form but we're at the stage of the season where injuries start to play a part. At the start of the season you've virtually a clean bill of health so no real excuses...
Plus, the last two games you could have written off once the Wembley place was confirmed. Despite the noise coming from the club about taking the league serious you'd have to be a tad gulible to believe it. The players minds are clearly somewhere else. And at the end of the day there are only two trophies up for grabs.......at least we have a damn good chance of taking one of them.
