Must have been a nightmare for the 8 coaches (inc. John Kear) who finished with their teams below Cull's in 2005
in fact i don't remember any season when every single team did the double over us and we finished rock bottom as a result of cullen being outcoached in every game
never heard anything as ridiculous in my life

It's a lot better than the bleeding Super League Show.

Exactly.
Look at the league table (if there was one) that only includes results during Smiths tenure, Top Four form. Something Cull sadly wasn't capable of delivering.

Tony Smith was here for the Leeds game so Lowes was only in charge for 3 games Saints Catalan and Wakey .....
had we lost only the Saints game we would be on 24 points and 5th......( a position I'm sure Cullen had us to once or twice)
since Smith arrived his team has played 18 won 10 and lost 8, its still a bit average isnt it ? and I'm sure Cullen had similarly average stats.....
we are hovering around the play off zone like we used to with Cullen
if Anyone had been on a desert island for the last 12 months suddenly came to a Warrington Game Would they notice any significant difference from the Cullen Years.......?
we still lose to Saints, we still lose to Huddersfield... We still beat Wigan at the HJ. We can still get 60 and 40 points put up us. we can still win high scoring matches like 58-22, and we can still get done at home 6-28 by teams like Cas.....and we still rely on Lee Briers to win games.
I'm happy with tony Smith as coach but League form hasnt been anything to write home about really, its what we are used to .... just ok....
fortunately we have a cup semi on the horizon to add a bit of gloss to the season.....

| 6,7,9 and 13 are the Brains trust; they are the thinkers of the team, hence use their brains rather than their bodies if they can.
A coach I used to play for wittily referred to the front row as the brains' trust, as they were mainly as thick as the proverbial short planks.

It's one way of looking at it, it isn't mine.
Cullen had probably, five or six off & preseasons to make a difference. He didn't do that, Smith hasn't even had one. I'll judge him next year for that reason, and then become maybe, a bit more sceptical in 2011 if there was no improvement.
I think what we've seen is a change in attitude & desire, an improvement in these. And from his recuitment, we can see that he feels it's not a recruitment thing, there's no big Ins & Outs. He clearly feels it's an off season thing, so we'll see I guess.

Si, to be fair to Tony Smith this is a squad that he mainly inherited, apart from Brian Carney who is short term and Richie Mathers who is a vast inmprovement on Stuart Reardon then its Paul Cullen`s and Jimmy Lowes squad.
I`m expecting mixed results for a fair while yet until he can sort out the pivot positions, the back line needs more quality and pace, we need to add some quality to the back row as well. Our 2 starting props are top drawer, we need at least one more impact prop.
Personally i would replace Jimmy Lowes, ive not seen one thing from him yet that makes me feel comfortable or optimistic with him being our number 2, whilst Tony Smith is the England coach their will be other times where Jimmy Lowes will have to prepare the team whilst Smith is away on internationl duty and that doesn`t fill me with much confidence.
I was a bit suprised though at some of the new contracts he has handed out especially to Briers and Louis Anderson, i expect a bumpy road for quite a while as far as we are concerned.
