I'm not sure, I'm tempted to agree with Sally, then I see his performances, added with he looks as fit as he has ever done. If he wants to stay, his family is settled & the financial side works, then I think I'd go with one more year. He could even be rested next year with Cooper a year further on in his development.

If it is a good enough mantra for him, then it will do me.

I'd have no issues with him staying. I'm really enjoying watching him play Rugby at the moment.

My only reservation is that next year we need to be really developing Pickersgill and Cooper to take over from Rah and Morley, so it may be best to do this on a staggered basis rather than lose both of these in 2011.

If you asked me what the meaning of life I would give the same answer to that question as I'm going to give to this one; I'll go with whatever Smith says.

If I'm forced to have my own view rather than the view of My 2nd Favourite Tony, I'd say no. There'll be a drop off and it's got to be soon. I'd rather promote some of the younger props a bit more if we can.

I would give him a 1yr extention if he took it on reduced wages and if there was no British forward available to replace him !

You'd presume Pickersgill we be gone. He's older, doesn't get named in the 19, hasn't featured in Smiths thoughts, and of two, looks to have less to his game.

Pickersgill has to go, slow and awkward player who shouldn't have been given a contract extension IMO. He was only probably re-signed due to the injury doubts over Paul Wood.

If Rah wanted another year i can't think of any reason why we shouldn't give it to him. If only the man didn't have that back injury when he first came over he could have gone down as a wire great...

So Picks to go (Widnes), Rah to stay?

I don't think Pickersgill will go to another SL team, maybe Celtic Crusaders if anyone.

I'm a big fan of Rauhihi, but would prefer Steven Price on a one year deal.

I think he should not be retained. He is still a bit of a liability in defence after about 10 mins of him being on. We can't carry players like that anymore. He was leaving gaps everywhere a couple of times yesterday.
