Me too, but since Ganson is probably on the run from the WI, and Silverwood had to have his mandatory Saints v Wire game at Knowsley Road, he was the only other ref apart from Ian Smith that hadn't had a game this weekend. But since Cummings hates Smith, that's probably why Alibert got the nod.

I havent complained about the result, nor did I complain about the penalty we got. BUT its still a disgrace what he did, its not complaining, its my opinion. IMO there would be plenty of people on here angry about it, probably you. If you actually read any of my posts, you would understand that I DONT think we deserved to win. Where the hell you got a penalty try from I dont know...
Joel Tomkins falling on Richie Myler at the DW was far more cynical. Those 2 points we'd have got from the resultant penalty would have got us 2nd in the league. Nasty wiganers.

I cant stand that clown,he sure sh@t himself soon after when L anderson smashed him and he spewed the ball...still say that was the game changing moment when we beat them.
How would we have got the extra 2 points though? wasnt it as he scored under the sticks? so we got the conversion anyway?

Another 2 points. 8 point try, fouled in the act of scoring.

Because, although rare, the referee has the power in those circumstances to award another penalty to be kicked after the conversion has taken place. As the offence was under the sticks, it's a safe bet we'd have scored two more points.

After the Wigan fans reaction to last night and some of the postings on here, Twitter and Facebook, I think that they're not too popular.

| Bet a few Wigan fans will be happy that McGuire is out injured.
Can't help but wonder if the same fans wanted Alan Beswick stringing up for saying that he was pleased about the injury that Amos Roberts suffered earlier in the season?

Said it on the McGuire thread, some of them think he deserved an 8 month lay-off with a serious injury

| just had a read on the wigan forum..jesus,what a bunch of evil gits they are..some wish mguire a speedy recovery and some say he deserves all he gets...theres certain players i cant stand but would never wish any injury on them....before this weekend i was split as to which fans i disliked the most..not now theres a clear winner...well done to the decent wigan fans but the rest..

Amos Roberts' injury was in the act of scoring a try, Danny Mcguire's injury was a result of blatant cheating, that's a big difference, that's why I think some Wigan fans are angry. For me, I would have wanted a Wigan player to pull a player back in the same situation and I would never wish an injury on any player especially one which keeps him out for 8 months, I hope he recovers quickly.
