On the face of it, it seems a tad harsh - I thought two games at the time. It was direct shoulder contact to the head though, there was no attempt to bend the back, it was just a very misjudged tackle. He has previous, maybe that’s where the 3 games comes from.

Go back to last season, I think it was him, and hurrell who both had form, for coming in, and hitting passers late with the shoulder and in the head he was getting done/carded for it back then.

Expect those clowns to throw the book at Vaughan on Monday and possibly fine Sam, too. It's beyond a joke now, really. We're in the era of accidental contact being penalised on an equal footing with real, foul play, and players now looking to stay down so that if enough replays are shown, the VR will intervene.
