| Happened to be seated one row in front of directors last night. All were present as well as Karl Fitzpatrick. If they were concerned with our 1st half performance they hid it well. Don’t know what was being said in box at halftime.
As for the game Aidan Sezer for me is a standout old school half back who we should be trying to entice. Head and shoulders the most skilful player on the pitch. Has a free role and doesn’t stick to structures. Follows every play the ball and demands the ball when he see gaps that can be exploited.
A trip to the bookies for me. If he stays fit he won’t be far off Man of Steel.

It probably went something like:-
Karl: ‘Mike (Lomax) tell Pricey we’ll go the Bluebell after the game now we’re getting tonked, it’ll be quieter than the Rodders’.
Mike Lomax: ‘Alright Karl I’ll let him now mate’.

It wasn’t solely the Sezer show, Gaskell and Edwards were very influential with what was going on around the team.

You're right, beating Saints in the Cup Final was terrible.....

We have limped out of the playoffs twice since then and lost in the cup twice as well with pitiful performances. The opportunities to say goodbye have been there, I've said before it's not prices fault he genuinely seems to be doing his best but it doesnt work and the change should have come at least a season ago. We were awful leading up to and after that cup final as well let's not forget.

While I can’t agree with the sentiment of us winning the cup was a bad thing, regardless of the outcome of the final against St Helens, the club have had ample opportunity to get rid of Price regardless.
Even if we had of lost, I’d bet he’d still be in charge now anyway.

It was absolutely brilliant on the day. One of the best weekends I’ve had in years but we have suffered as a result of it absolutely no doubt about that.

| I may or may not agree LTS, and it may have been the right thing to do, but sacking Price following the Cup win would not have guaranteed success

Nor would us not winning the cup guarantee his sacking either.

I agree DAG and that was kind of my point, it's a non binary proposition which works both ways and added to that change doesn't always equate to an end to 'suffering'.
Some might say that as a club this is where we fall behind more ruthless competitors yet others are satisfied that a level of 'success' buys personnel time and good will. There is obviously a tipping point, as there was with Tony Smith and I've no doubt as there will be with Powell

Nothing guarantees success UR but you look now in hindsight it would have been the absolute right thing to do and I feel we've wasted and regressed in the two years since.
I've been watching us for 25+ years plus and I don't think I've ever felt as detached as I feel now watching this team and this coach. It's just soulless.

I can't disagree TBH.
In the same way that I was probably one of the last on here in support of Price's predecessor. IMO your namesake earned the right to a later tipping point as we'd enjoyed some of our best times.
All conjecture and perhaps a little unfair but would you look back IF we lost in the Semi and a couple of inept performances in the League as good thing if it hastens Price's departure, OR would you prefer him to go out with his head held high and a trophy in the cabinet?

I would like to see us relieve Price of his duties now and let Briers/Henderson or Anderson have a go. I think if we did we'd have a chance of winning some silverware but as it is now I think we've no chance. Things have just gone too stale and we need to freshen things up. You even look on social media I don't think I've seen as many people wanting the same thing. I've not met/spoke to anyone who wants to keep Price this season and watch 5 drives and a kick for a few more months? And I've said before I've no vendetta against Price (although some think that), he's a good bloke, the players like him, I've no doubt he's trying his best but at the end of the day I just think he's not a very good coach and that's the thing that matters the most.

| I think that's it LTS, he isn't a very good coach. We've failed pretty embarrassingly in the last 2 play offs, he's done a repetitive end of year summary and we've arguably regressed each year.
He seems ed off when we lose, he looked utterly dejected at the final whistle on Monday but unfortunately for him, he's the one who's under the microscope.
It's nothing personal, i dont know the bloke, but this team is boring to watch and have no idea how to spend a set of six 20 yards out.
He should have gone last year, it's that simple. We have hub cap winner Paul Anderson in the back ground and an ex Head Coach in Henderson who's close to the first team, we were hardly in a desperate position. Look where Watson came from and look at him now.
