Brown didn't play, and it's no surprise as he had form when Widnes signed him. We signed Bailey to add some grunt, but we can't complain as we know what we bought.

Great player Brown, but he's only good on the pitch. Nigh on useless in the stand. If a squad isn't deep enough to cope, that's the managements fault. Widnes missed a few this week, but they were banging their chests when they beat half a Leeds team and an under par Wigan team.

Everytime Chris Sandow gets the ball, you just feel that somethings going to happen. Again today, he seems on another level. He has everything. I think the attendance today has a lot to do with him. It's so exciting to watch seeing a player that gifted and even better seeing them in p and b. COYW.

FWIW I thought that you were more competitive than the score line suggests defence early second half won it for us and you did miss Brown...Happy with the 2 points onwards and onwards It will be tough at your place

Didn't Lee Briers go through his playing career tagged as being unable to tackle or going missing in defence? Nobody complained when he was kicking teams to death & winning games for us though.

If I remember correctly Briers's defence improved considerably when TS came in.
I don't expect Sandow to be our best defender as long as he 'does enough' leaving him free to tear teams apart in attack.

After seeing the scores you have recently beaten teams by and seeing the highlights of your tries he and your team hace looked very very good and that's why I like alot of widnes fans were very worried about facing him today

I was quite relieved he didn't play very well and I put that down to as you say we were competitive and we didn't let him or the rest of your team cut loose

Im hoping he return match will be a bit closer as we will hopefully have the likes of brown,runciman and your old boy bridge back
