| Quote: SirStan "You were very, very comfortable today fellas. I don't even think you played your best, bombing probably 4 clear cut tries in the 1st 20 mins. We didn't touch the ball for 13 mins between 0-0 and 22-0, your handling suddenly clicked and you were different class.
Rovers are a pale shadow this season, but we have still been competitive at home in every game until today. On that showing, I reckon I might have a few quid on you for the double.
Decent following today and you made some noise. All the best for the rest of the season.'"
cheers bud

| Just got back from the game, via a meal on the way home.
My thoughts are that for the first 15 minutes we were getting into our stride and settling ourselves into the game, after 10 minutes I said that we would win and win well, you could just tell.
We did miss a few chances in the 1st 15 minutes but Benny W had a perfectly good touchdown ruled out ( I have seen the photo that proves it). After Simon's first try we were in complete control and I don't think Rovers touched the ball again (except to re start) until we were 22 - 0 up.
Intensity wise we played between 65% and 85% and only when we were close to their line did we play at full throttle, throughout the game we had an extra two gears we could have called upon and this was most apparent when they scored we just upped our game and went down the other end and scored, this happened on each of Rovers 3 tries. Looking at the posts on this thread you could get the feeling that at one point in the 2nd half we let them back into it, at the game I really didn't get that feeling. It felt more a case of 'right lads lets keep a nice 30 point cushion and if they breach our line then we will go and get another try'.
Some notable hits from Benny W and Big Dave, the one from Ben on their number 8 left him literally staggering around as if he was drunk, big Dave took a massive hit close to their line and kept hold of the ball as if his life depended on it.
Injury wise Coops came off and was limping at the end, Ben H did 25 minutes went off and came back on at about 65 minutes but only lasted another 5 or so minutes, he looked to have injured his ankle, at the end he was walking and it wasn't strapped up, so heres hoping it was just fatigue given it was his 1st game in about 6 weeks.
Very difficult to name a clear MOM, Monas was the Monas we know and love, Beeny W was the Benny W we know and love, Gareth had a great game, Lee was the organiser and provider he has been for us throughout the past decade, Richie had a very good game and was excellent in defence at one point he pulled down their prop who was at full pace and heading for the line. Matt King got a hat-trick and took the ball up time and time again and showed how much we would miss him if Yeds fibs turn out to be true.
All in all a very good performance coupled with a great result.
