Monitoring outside for the people inside: |
|
| Remember that Gleeson said he wanted a move. I wouldn't want any player wearing a wire shirt who didn't want to play for us.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |
|
| Chris Riley's try scoring rate is exactly 1 in 2. Don't know how it compares to other wingers in the league but to dismiss him as average, as some might, seems harsh. If we'd picked him up from South Sydney's stiffs for a pittance we'd all be having wet dreams about what a great pick up that was and how great our scouts were. Our pants should even more moist when you consider he's a Warrington born academy/squadbuilder product.

| Quote: Paul Youane "I would say that King, Atkins and Bridge are and have played better than at centre than Gleeson has over a similar period since he left us.
Which of the three do you reckon Gleeson has played better than over that period?
Plus we got £100k and released getting on for another £100k of our salary cap'"
I wouldn't go THAT far but I'd certainly take Bridge as a direct replacement and £100,000. Bridge has that same class about him, better player? probably imho
King's played well but Atkins isn't in the same class as Bridge/Gleeson as a centre

Some truth in that pal. King was not great in his first season and a half never mind 7 games. Give the lad time, he has all the attributes and I trust Smith's judgement.

I know this is hard to believe considering most on here live in a Warrington box but these players have been around for half/most of the decade, it's not exactly judging on 7 games.
Gleeson was the best centre at this club for years, he made King look silly for two, Bridge will be a better player over the next 5, King will go alright over the next 18 months before going home and Atkins, never on this earth will make a top class centre. He's an athlete, but for a top centre, you need something more than that.

| Quote: DJ Birchy Ford Clinic "i can't believe the garbage im reading. We lost at Saints again, get over it. Players make mistakes in wet weather (yes even Billy Slater has been known to knock on) and until we create the full back robot i'm happy with Richie or Riley. Why not give credit to the kicker, i remember years ago GB first choice full back Graham Steadman used to have a mare every time Jiffy Davies hoisted the bomb as it was unplayable. Did that make him a bad player or is Davies a great kicker?'"
i remember singing "ther'es only one graham steadman" after he'd gifted numerous (3 i think) tries by dropping the bomb from jiffy..... happy days

I still shout "Steadman" when we put a bomb up on the fullback.

I don't think he gifted all three. I'm pretty sure Bob Jackson cleaned him out for one of them.
