apparently someone has 'confirmed' it to be at Stobart on the wigan board

I'm about 90% sure that it will be Widnes, Season ticket holders get first refusal and it will probably be reserved seating.

I would still prefer it to be at Huddersfield.

I really think it will be more than that. It certainly should be with a Wembley place up for grabs.

I hope it isn't Widnes but it will be. Not exactly an appealing place to hold a marquee event.

I was thinking of getting a few mates from down here to come along - apart from the fact it'll be difficult to get a ticket - fancy a day on the lash in Widnes will be a hard sell to be honest!icon_smile.gif

In 20 years we've gone from Maine Road to Widnes. I agree in 2004 we were outsiders - I think there will be more takers this time. But to be fair to the RFL they are trying to reward councils etc that have backed RL and also Premier League grounds are difficult to get hold of - especially the week before the start of the season. So the other option would be Huddersfield and then people will complain about having to travel 'far'. So no easy option I guess.

I have 4 friends who never go to the rugby and asked if I can get them tickets, I do hope the venue can accommodate.

This is like deja vu from the comments running up to 2004.

i know the football seaso is starting around the same time but the rfl could go for somewhere like deepdale, preston. this holds 22,000 and i reckon each team could get 10,000 supporters each, its a semi final and a derby so they arent going to struggle to sell tickets

why don't we follow the lead of football and have both Semis at Wembley
