Ellis scores a hat-trick in the reserves running some excellent lines which is sadly lacking in the first team.
Right you’re going to Hull Ellis as I’m going to continually select the most underperforming second row in the league.

If it is Powell’s decision then I’m going to have to change my mind on him. I have been a big fan of let’s see what he does next season but for me this is a terrible decision given our incumbent 2nd are just garbage. Holmes from the get go is nothing like the bloke that played for Cas and as for Currie I have no more words for him.

Daryl Powell doesn’t rate him as a second rower….so you can take it from that that he’ll be a good addition to your side. Raw of course but I’d much prefer him in our squad and should’ve been a constant in our 17 this season IMO.

A player with loads of aggression and no shortage of ability. Basically the exact opposite of Oliver Holmes.

I really hope he goes well for you guys, it may get some much needed changes done here, well I say that but probably more wishful thinking.

This is genuinely a staggering decision. He/we are losing the plot rapidly. The way he has called out this young man together with Riley Dean is nothing short of a disgrace. Player with raw talent that needed nurtured instead we smash his confidence and treat him with contempt. I have had enough

I've been backing Powell and still do, but got to say this is very disappointing considering the performances of our 2 current second rows.

Maybe Matt Peet was right after all.

If this turns into a permanent signing, I think the old end of an era Wilderspool scarf will be consigned to the sock drawer and I'll find something else to do.
