Good luck to him, he was a good professional and did well for us especially in his early seasons. I think we underutilised him, he would have been superb in the team we had a few years back under TS.

Have Leigh signed him as a Prop? That's been his specialist position during the last 4 years.

Even last night against a set defensive line we had the young kids trying to run the ball out of our own 20 whilst the bigger chaps had a breather.

They showed lots of bravery running into that big Hull pack - really brave and impressive. Setting a great example to the rest of the squad.

It is 2022. That is the modern game. Three quarters do that all the time. It's not some Wire thing.

Under Steve Price's attacking system, that's all he did - ran in as a prop. Other wingers in the modern game will drive the ball in too, but they'll also have the luxury of finishing moves when the ball is spread wide.

He's also handy at attaching himself to a tackler/marker which is handy for...I think it was to try and get a penalty...not really sure...we didn't get many penalties from it...??

The big question is, would he have done better than Thewlis did last night? For me it’s a resounding no. And that cap space is now available. He’s a nice guy so hope it works out at Leigh.

Lam will know what's required of him,and it's upto Charnley to deliver. Granted, we are in a lesser league but, Lam will know if his services are futher required at the end of the season.

He used to win penalties doing that, but then refs got wise to it.

Best for the club and player to move on, and instead pick Wrench and Thewlis.

Wish Charnley well, he always give his best.

Agree that Wrench & Thewlis deserve to be picked, but in their more long term suited positions, and not on the wing.

Price didn't really utilise our players in an attacking way which was a shame, especially with talented players like Charnley. Hopefully he gets the ball more on the end of some attacking moves at Leigh.
