| If true then we have signed a player who won’t spend a large portion of the season suspended

| He's certainly familiar with playing with Mata'utia...so I guess thats a plus.

| Powell seems to be taking the easy option of signing players he knows or has coached previously. Not the sign of a confident coach me thinks. Taking the easy option.

| I think he’s a solid super league squad player, can cover a few positions at wing & centre. A mark down from Mamo, given Mamo’s form this year. He’s obviously familiar with Powell I think he will go well not the most spectacular signing unfortunately…Does make you wonder abit about the Ashton situation, as no mention about him signing a new deal yet, not even a whisper..

On a side note. Who was the last Yorkshire man we had as coach. Maybe Plange and that was more of a caretaker role but going back before that I can't remember one.'"
Unfortunately, it was Lowes.
I'm still having therapy.

not uncommon, a new coach bringing in players he's worked with before, with the intention of helping get his philosophy over to the playing group

If he’s coming in to cover the original Mamo role as centre / wing cover its an ok signing. If he’s been brought in as a replacement for Lineham I’m not so sure.
Mamo is too expensive now to cover that outside back cover role - and too good too so any replacement for his original position in the squad was always going to be a step down.

| Surely Mata’utia is the replacement for Mamo and Minikin is likely to be better than we have seen from Lineham this season.

| He could turn out to be a decent signing but if Saints had signed him I think we'd be having a chuckle at their expense.

| Would prefer that Connor Wrench was given a chance, from what I have seen of him in the Wigan away game and his 4 tries in the Academy game recently.

| In a salary capped sport, and with a relatively small talent pool from which to draw, I think that Minikin would be a good fit. With the players that we already have on marquee or decent money, plus the need to either retain or replace Hill, then we have to scale back our expectations in other positions. Thewlis isn’t a winger in the long term, he’s a Full Back. Ashton could be a great winger but he needs to show that his injuries were a blip and that he’s not the next Gary Wheeler.

| Just hope we're in the market for a prop, especially if Hill is leaving. Bullock and a season-missing Harrison can't be it surely?
