If we had a few grand finals in the bag then fair enough. But for fans of a club that hasn't been champions for nearly 70 years, then I simply can't comprehend that attitude. Each to their own as they say.

However, Saints were best at 27.59.

Doesn't necesarily tell the whole story, in terms of how those tries were scored (IE just the tomkins move), i had a look to see if any of their season tries vids were on youtube with not much joy.

just to say, we weren't exactly a free flowing try scoring thang for a couple of years in the middle of that, lest we forget the matt russell, higham, clark, ratchford scoot a thon that we became for a few seasons

| What is the guarantee that he will win Grand Finals?
What about bringing back Tony Smith - he won 2 Grand Finals with Leeds? Could he bring that GF winning mentality to us?
Some people think that its all about the quality of Academy players? How important was the talent coming through Wigan's Academy to Wane and where is the guarantee that he would win with a lower quality of Academy like at Wire?

| Wane would bring one thing that we have sorely lacked through all the good, bad and ugly of rhe last 10 years - a win at all costs, [iall costs[/i mentality.
Genuine rip up the rulebook, damn your sportsmanship, push the limits then push them more throw your mother under the train obsessive, mongrel desire.
Like most people I look back at the first half of TS tenure and regularly go misty eyed at the memory of the rugby, but when the chips were down we went all stiff upper lip instead of stiff uppercut.
I quite fancy becoming the panto villains again, perhaps we can revive The House of Pain.

He’d win you a Grand Final IMO and I don’t doubt that whatsoever. He seems to be labelled as a one dimensional, aggressive up and at them and bash the hell out of them merchant but Wanes teams at Wigan could play when he was given the right attacking tools. When you’re stripped of you best attacking talent year in year out, then it becomes difficult to keep on building attacking structures but he dealt with absolutely everything that was thrown at him, picked a replacement up from the academy or in some cases on the cheap to develop them and cracked on and carried on winning.
If you guys want to win Grand Finals then there is no better man IMO. I actually think with the financial resources Wire have that he’d still have you playing some good stuff, as you wouldn’t have your squad ripped pillaged every year.

| Imo he be inheriting a club at the top, like he did Wigan, and slowly run it down to the dregs Lam ended up with.
