Sorry lads, I don't agree. SL needs to keep playing or it will lose this year's TV money, without which it will all go up in smoke. Virtually everyone anticipated player injuries / fatigue and it very unfortunate but unavoidable. Salford deserve praise for prioritising player welfare. Whether Wire deserve a 24 nil win is another matter, but appears to be the current rule. Everone has to make, do and mend this year, that's not so much a fiasco nor debacle, more like good scrambling defense.

So many matches in such a short space of time with a thin squad. Its bound to happen.

A sad outcome ,all clubs should be applauded for fielding teams whenever they can. The idea of loaning some of our youngsters to Salford would have been a win for Salford & for our fringe players.

Both these younger sides should have beaten Salford. Our academy/youth policy isn't so far behind Saints, if they indeed are behind.

If we beat Hudds & Hull KR but lose to Saints we will be on 68.4%. Leeds would have to win all 4 of their remaining games (4 in 11 days) vs Wakey, Wakey, Cas & Wigan to match us on 68.4%. Saints are due to play Hull FC 4 days before we play them and will be playing their 4th game in 14 days when they play us in the last game of the year.

Catalan also play 4 games in 11 days vs Salford, Saints, Hull KR and Hudds. I expect Saints will beat them meaning they have the hub cap sewn up by the time we play them. Catalan winning 3 and losing 1 would put them on 68.8%.

I guess what I am trying to say is 4th place is certainly in our hands and the Salford forfeit and subsequent rescheduling of the Huddersfield game puts us in a good position with other clubs scrambling round to play another 4 games.

Wigan play Saints, Hudds, Leeds and Hull. Hopefully they lose to Saints first up, which means they will be going all out to beat Leeds to confirm their (and everyone elses) top 4 place.
