| Why not? Patton has delivered more defence splitting passes in the miniscule time he's played recently than widdop and Austin combined over the last ten games.

| If Dec Patton put in the performance Austin did tonight, or even last week, he’d be out on loan next week.
I thought Price had the nerve to punish mediocre performances.
Austin being un-droppable because he’s a marquee?

| Duckie is right. Austin has cost us two games on the trot. Anyone else would be having a good sit down after that. Let's see what happens. Our recent good performances seemed to have come from when Price's hand was forced in team selection. His go-to second row of Hughes and Clark tells you all you need to know about his genuine attacking ambitions. Toby King could be one of the best second rows in the country. Time for him to move there permanently IMO.

| Sorry not Clark second row...but pack permanent feature. I'd like Currie/King second row.

Thanks. In defence of Hughes, he looks like he’s still trying to play himself into match fitness. He did have a lengthy miss preseason. Jace Clark tackled his heart out.

| If Austin is gonna get dropped which he should in my opinion... I'd rather see Riley Dean get a run out

| The only decent pass from 6 or 7 positions this season that I can recall, came in the last 5 mins to give us our last win from Patton.
The guy does not deserve to be sitting games out this season because of our marquee players.

| Widdop fb
Patton 7
Ratchford 6
Clark 9
Austin bench (and 3 forwards)
I’d have the bottle and do it.

| From what I’ve seen of Brad Dwyer this season he’s created more than Austin.Slowly going off him and Widdop is creeping on my worst signings list.

| I actually thought Widdop was decent tonight, certainly looked the more likely of the half’s you create something. Austin clearly picked up an injury after that hit in the first half.
Effort and desire was there tonight, we made plenty of meters, but again found a little wanting when it came to breaking down a tough defence. All comes back to attacking structures for me.

| We've still never found our Briers replacement. Speaking of which it looked like he and Price had crossed words at the end.
