I would have him at Full Back if we we want to use the full back as a pivot as Shaul cannot do that job. However, Shaul made 180m last week with his running from deep, so you would lose that threat. Connor is a Centre for me.

Just to return to the team for Thurs. I think I would agree with Karetaker's selection in the main. Gelling to return as he is first pick in the centres, whilst Brand now has a good idea of what he needs to improve / practice for his next step in SL. But I would like to see Doro play from the bench and as K again pointed out, that will probably need to be at the expense of Davis. I don't think that swap would do much damage to our chances of beating Hull and you have to chance your arm and play the Academy products at some point. Walker is coming along nicely and his kicking game is a bit of a revelation, please don't drop him.

Agree with your comment re. Walker`s kicking game.......I wasn`t aware he could kick so well.

If Doro does get into the 17, it is also a kick up the backside for Latu to sort himself out.

Latu is a bit of a strange one. He obviously knows what to do with a step and body positioning to make those extra few yards, but why he can't be asked to get himself fit is beyond me.

To win games, a team needs pivots to unlock the other sides defensive line.

There's something wrong here. He's had 6 weeks to get himself fit and yet he can't even make the 21. Strong suggestion that the player doesn't want to be here (UK). I don't know how much we're paying him but, so far, he hasn't done enough to justify the taxi fare to the airport, let alone the flight.

Doro clearly has taken his disciplinary on the chin and decided to knuckle down and fight for his position, which is great to see and like to see him play. I genuinely think Latu is either carrying a slight injury which stops him giving his all, or he's one of those players that can't be bothered or will kick in once the weather does.
I can massively improve my fitness in 6 weeks so if he can't as a proffessional athlete screams he doesn't want to.
Maybe he's got the Aussie mentality who see Super league as a lower lever competion, and expects to automatically get a spot and has realised it's much harder over here than expected?

i'm not attempting to start any rumours, but has anyone seen him at the H&J on matchdays, normally you see the other non selected players milling about, entrance, on the bench, on the pitch at the end. i Can't say i've noticed his presence anywhere since he was here.

Gelling should play his experience is invaluable, Doro should be given a game kids been knocking on the door for a couple of seasons, it would potentially give us three impact players off the bench, unfortunately Davies would have to drop out, I don't even consider Burrell to carry kit bag.
