I think the most disapointing thing with Wigans tactics was how we dealt with them .
If there sticking 3 men in a tackle and flopping with the fourth and getting away with it . It means their line is nice and set for when we are trying to run our forwards in and getting them smashed .
There are at least 4 coaches watching that at any one time and not one of them came up with the idea to do the exact same thing ourselves? Bad times

Other crap we are seeing now.

1. Forwards regularly not even being in the scrum.
2. LF doesn't have head in scrum.
3. Ref allowing dissent (used to be 10 yard advance).
4. Defending players feigning injury before drop out on repeat set to give defence a breather.
5. 3/4 man tackles with slow motion peel off, often clumsily to impede attacking play.
6. Players actively looking for penalties rather than playing the game (this is not Rugby Union)

2) is probably a reaction to the stupid "ball not out" penalty
3) March them 10 at 1st sign of dissent, that would soon sort that out. The captain seeking "clarification" has turned into a conversation, get on with the game
4) The GLDO should have a "shot clock" like NRL
5) This plus late flop by last "tackler" is killing the speed of the game
6) Modern curse, play the game and let the ref ref! Of course a repeat set is so important that you can understand teams doing this but it's as annoying as saddle sores.

Oh another thing

7) Police offside accurately and fairly. So many players offside before the ball hits the ground in the play the ball. This limits space to the attacking side and adds to the dullathon.

I get very annoyed by refs being over familiar and coaching instead of reffing. Maybe I am a traditionalist but call the players by their team name and number and penalize rather than advise. So no more "Lockers (or Benny..or ..) , you are offside, could you please get back" - Just "13 offside penalty"....and no more Move calls

As I said on the match day thread, he's morphing into Danny Lima.
Time for him to find some of that April form, again

According to the guardian it’s looks likely Cooper will miss the game, along with Goodwin, Sita & Crosby. Leaves us seriously short in the prop department.

King will have to feature again, with maybe Moran coming in - would that be his SL debut?
