To be fair most Saints fans said they'd be happy if he came back for this season alone, which he has and which he'll storm. For a SL club to get 1 and a bit season's out of a player of his quality is more than good enough. There was talk on RedVee, when it looked like we might get Barba, about how most of them were pleased with their proposed back-up option of signing Ratchford.....what might have been, but Saints aren't that unlucky.
If Roberts were to have an absolute stormer this season, win us the GF and bugger off never to return we'd all be happy.

There never was a 'Hiku clause'. The club simply allowed him to leave on compassionate grounds. |
