Quote Winslade's Offload="Winslade's Offload"Well we know Dagger will be FB and Johnson will fill in on the wing. Swapping Julien and Hughes around would be an interesting experiment, certainly from what I have seen of Hughes, he is no centre wannabe whilst Julien does have some credentials, but ..... I suspect TS will leave them where they are.
Will Brown come back at HB ? I would prefer to see Patton, but I am going to guess Declan might well sit this one out.
Finally will Wilde retain his spot ? I didn't see the Wigan game, but it sounded as though he did ok. Trouble is, by this time of the season you would have thought the coach would already have decided whether he is keeping Wilde next year or not.'"
I know that wont be the team but its the team that causes less chaos as it has players playing in their actual positions. Jullien played mostly Centre over the back row all his life so makes more sense to have him there over an out and out back rower in Hughes.
Every time Patton and Gidley have paired up we have produced out best performances. and last weekend was out best performance in months. so to change the pairing in the halves AGAIN surely it makes more sense to keep what worked?
Dagger isn't a winger and neither is Johnson. So I fail to see what Tony would achieve by dropping a winger to replace him with a fullback. If he was replacing a winger with a winger fair enough. It's no wonder how cack we are. we've had:
- A Back row at Centre
- A Centre in the back row
- A Loose forward in the halves
- A Fullback on the wing
- A Half at hooker
- A Fullback/Half at hooker
- A prop at loose
- A Prop in the back row
How can any team perform with that kind of inconsistency?
