| Disappointed with Simms action on the night and annoyed that as a result he has got himself banned for 2 games. As with Dezzie I have noticed a few cheap shots of late. Is he trying to play the tough guy or something?. The tough guy just puts people on their backsides and runs up hard with the ball, takes no prisoners and doesn't react when provoked. Now that is intimidating to the opposition. Don't need the cheap shots, cut it out Ashton.

| I'm finally understanding the complicated grading system now:
(A) being the least severe offence increasing in severity through to
(B)
(C)
(D)
(E)
(F)
but also there is the little known grade of (EH) more commonly known as the Eddie Hemmings dummy spit grade which is given to a player whom Eddie makes constant references to said offence during a game while ignoring other serious offences from opposition teams who he likes - Or if they put their hand up, then that's in eddies words "no damage done"

| Ashton comes over so well when talking on BBC (obviously loves the game & nice bloke) but he's a bit like a relic from the past with his silly antics on the field. I'm hoping he will learn but he's very slow on the uptake. It's pathetic.

| We have moaned on hear for years that we have no biff in the team since Morley ( and he was quiet for the last few years) and also Westwood. We get a player that has a bit of the BIFF and stands up for his players and we are all saying "Silly Boy, should no better" I bet you were all cheering when he stood up and had a go at Singleton.

| I'm pretty sure Ash doesn't go all out to get a ban by being reckless it's his passion for the game that sometimes must just take over the player and before you know it its too late.
Won't miss him for Friday we need to play safe and Ash for me takes risks with his off loads shame about hull kr game tho especially if we get injuries from the widnes game.

| That will be five games banned in two seasons (granted this one isn't over yet), doesn't seem too bad for a front rower does it?
Westwood has been far more of a culprit for the disciplinary over the years.

| Simple solution really. If coaches are having problems with players getting banned for tackling techniques, they should watch the match videos & get their players to work on squeaky clean tackling techniques. Even if it saves one penalty or ban it is time well spent. All that matters is stopping a player running & getting the ball out, neither of which are done with the head, so there is no need for high tackles.

| We need a forward who will put the tackles and metres in without the constant ill-discipline of Sims. Perfect solution... Ryan Bailey

problem is, with Ash, its not tackle technique, it does seem like he's making the choice to put the sly digs in, which cull referred to as the lazy choices, the best players don't do that, they make their tackles, they dominate and control, thats how they get the best of the opposition.
Lesser players, take the lazy route of putting sly digs in, high tackles, punches etc, which bites them in the , case in point, players like Korkidas, the march bros, anyone that played for huddersfield in 2003. Scott moore, ryan bailey leeds version.
unfortunately Ash does straddle this line.

Some of the best recent props have been sly dig merchants, watch James Graham, Paul Gallon, Willie Mason, Ryan Bailey, Adrian Morley, Sam Burgess all will give plenty of sly digs and also questionable head tackles because they are aggressive in the tackle and want to dominate the opponent. I personally think its fine and if they take a game or 2 rest per season, like Westwood and Sims then so be it.

| I'm not concerned. I'd rather have Bailey and Cox anyhow.

| Controlled ruthless aggression is different to stupidity. Yes occasionally mistakes happen. Sims was not an accident. If he gets banned againbin super8s would be a completely different story and could have a huge impact on our season.
Think we've been looking for a prop who intimidates the opposition with his big hits hard runs anot with cheap shots!

| I don't know what Ben Flower's dangerous throw was like but it has been downgraded from C to B & then to A & he has escaped a ban altogether. Should be a bit of relief for injury devastated Wigan at least.

And he pleaded guilty you couldn't write it could you. Maybe as stated earlier the Hemmings factor came in "aw go on let him off they have a lot of injuries you know and this lad has never been in trouble before"
