Still think it was accidental, though I can see how it has been deemed as reckless. I suppose the phrase 'duty of care' comes into it too. Having been charged, with the nature of the injury caused and with 'previous' earlier in the season I wouldn't be surprised at the full 3 games. At least this would leave him available for the final.

Because it was a shoulfder charge, it wasn't accidental, you don't accidentally shoulder charge someone.

Was it an actual shoulder charge or in the event of making a tackle the shoulder caught the face of the opponent? There were several shoulder charges going in at both Semi finals and all went unpunished at the time.

The duty of care thing should be looked at with the challenge as the tackle appeared to be one like a type of bear hug that was ill timed hence the injury.

I suppose the bottom line is that if you want to go in for the big hit and end up 'big hitting' the opponents head/face, whether by accident, recklessly or intentionally then you have to expect to be looked at after the event. More so if the hit is with the shoulder, and more again if the hit results in serious injury to your opponent.

Gene Ormsby had an operation on his jaw on Saturday night, with both sides of the jaw needing a plate inserted. His estimated time on the sidelines is eight weeks, but could be back sooner. Wolves are not writing him off for the year at this stage
