This is just the sad scenario in all the towns public swimming baths, which is why we end up driving to chester for an everyday family Swim. Its just a farce that you have to timetable your "public swim" around Aqua-aerobics, OAP Swim, serious swim, Lane Swim, Canoeing club, aqualung club, water polo..etc etc.

chester is the only public pool where you can rock up anytime of day and Say two adults and three kids for a swim please without having to check on line what bizarre practice is going on first.

Orford Park seems to be going very well. The football pitches (Used to be called Vida?) are part of it now and it's very busy every night of the week. The gym looks like it does good business and there are always plenty of people milling around in the reception area outside the swimming pool. The kids have been there about four or five times on trips from school for various things.

The 'ying' to the 'yang' that is Orford Lane and its quality eateries?

From what I have heard/seen Orford Park is doing very well, always seems very busy when I call in - it is also used by the Wolves (swimming) and Warrington Town for training.
