It's not getting any better Yed. Is this what an education in Wigan does for you?

Nooooooo
Riley at fullback doesn't work for me sorry

| Really surprised to be honest, didnt think he would get another year never mind 2? Good luck to him though.
I dont get the pressure thing on Riley, Williams is cover but dont think he provides pressure I would say Evans does that more but again dont understand that really.
Riley has proven that he can finish and doesnt let us down wherever he's played.
Ratch to FB whenever Hodgson is out/rested and would play Evans on the wing with Monas J in centres if Bridge isnt fit or on form.

Agreed he can finish but he doesn't have the physique to defend against powerful opponents as Ben Jones-Bishop showed in the GF.

Shame we didn't bother coaching Kevin Penny then cos he had more pace than anyone in SL.

My phone is really irritating, it sticks commas automatically at the end of any plural words and 's in places it isn't needed.

Think I would agree with a lot of this. Certainly Rhys is fast, but there seems to be a missing dimension to his game. I can not quite put my finger on it, but it may be that he is not as 'savvy' or creative as Riley, and he spends too much time sitting on the wing when (IMO) he should be coming inside looking for work, or challenging the defence. I don't think I have seen a quick interchange of passes with his centre or a kick ahead when the defence start to close him down. I was very surprised he got 2 yrs ( rather than 1) but perhaps the coaches believe he is a late developer ?
WRT Evans, I would prefer to see him in the backline rather than wing.

Read what I said. Cas put him into gaps, we don't seem to be able to. He was great also for Crusaders when he was with them. Besides, if you have seen his pace, even only once, then what's 'mysterious' about it?

| As i've said before on here , he can't be doing a lot wrong to be Wales's leading try scorer ,they don't get that many to start with. I wouldn't be surprised if they try to do a Westwood & turn him into a forward over the next 2 years. He's a good ,sturdy lad .

| He has a massive bum-bum which must slow him down. Imagine how quick he would be without such a big behind.

| What Williams does have, unlike the majority of the wingers in the comp, is a left hand carry. Might not seem a lot, but if you're carrying the ball comfortably, you can use a fend or a one hand put down away from defenders. We don't (nor did Cas for that matter) use that though all that often.
That is no excuse for a few of the errors he has made, but it may be a contributing factor. Especially under the high ball. Leaving the ground from your strongest foot, will get you higher and more controlled in the jump, naturally leads to a better attempt at a catch.
The bit that niggles me about him, is coming away from our line, he doesn't make yards. He is to obsessed at beating the markers rather that straightening up and taking the contact. Riley, to his credit, overcome similar issues in 2009/2010 and he now has an uncanny ability to bounce off, spin and make a few more yards/get a quicker play the ball. I'm sure he will come good to develop into a decent left winger.

| If he turns out as good as Riley, I'll be happy.
