| Unless the flooding outside the stadium becomes dangerous to spectators, or the pitch becomes waterlogged I can't see the game being changed, but it does bring up the serious point of 'what if'. Realistically the game cannot be postponed/delayed so I wonder when, if necessary, any decision would need to be made? They can't decide at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon to move the game to Widnes!

The could have Widnes (or the Haliwell Jones) on standby for Sunday.

If the roles were reversed, would you want to give up home advantage and play away, or would you prefer to play at a neutral venue? I'm pretty certain that IF the game was to be switched (which I seriously doubt it will be) then it would be Widnes (the iPitch is also in their favour).
I would imagine that neither Sky or the two clubs would want to delay the game, whoever won it would then have two days less to prepare than Leeds [size=50(or Wigan)[/size.

| I wonder how much water the i-pitch can cope with before it starts to pool on the surface?

To be fair during that period of bad weather in the final we had our worst spell of the game.
I am not convinced we have enough self control in very wet conditions. We are a very impatient side (which has been a good thing more than not in good conditions).
I'll be worried if the weather is still like this on Sat. Saints have shown this year that they can do the no frills stuff very well. How many trys of theirs came from our unforced errors last week? Lots.

| Move the game to Widnes now. It's ten times easier to get a train from there to Manchester after the match than it is from the town that public transport forgot.
I really hate St. Helens!

| The pitch at Saints should never be waterlogged as it can handle well over 25mm of rain per hour.

Thinking about it, if there was a need to switch the match at a late stage it would have to be at a ground bigger than Saints, as most, if not all tickets would have been sold.
Wigan it is then.

You mean the same ones who so violently showed their displeasure at Leeds opening try at Wembley?
You don't want to go upsetting them....

| With ref to my earlier post, we play poorly when its raining! We play good and great rugby when its not raining. As Wirefan stated we were poor when it was raining at wembley, when it stopped we were back on form. No myth hear just factual account of our team "when its raining"
