Warrington are miles off last season's team ( good in the long-term), ie, fit for the end of season. But, any fan watching today, who thinks that we should be putting 50+ on every team, or blames the ref, is seriously deluded.
We seriously need a good hiding to knock this cockiness out of the club. This will be in France next week. The more worrying aspect, long-term, is when Briers retires. Myler is simply not good enough to move the team around, and O' Brien is still inexperienced.'"
We already had a good hiding away at the Cats. And we seem to have 'gone into an SL game with one recognised HB' and won it. O'Brien is as inexperienced as was Lee Briers when he signed for Wire. Myler would work great with him. As would Ratchford. You ought to be thankful you're not a Chemics fan or you'd be slitting your wrists, attitude on you, boy. |

A few weeks ago when Wigan had a team of youngsters out against Widnes, they lost by one point. Had Widnes not scored their last try then all we would have heard from Wigan fans was how bright their future is, that even though Widnes are no great shakes, they can put out a team of youngsters against Super League opposition and win. But they lost by one point so all the debate was about how Shaun Wane had disrespected Super League by the team he had picked.
Say for instance Salford had scored one more try and beaten us....would the talk on here have been about how bright our future was, or would we now be asking very serious questions about where the club was going after the season we have had so far, and the Catalans game in the Challenge Cup would be pretty much win or bust for us.
Live Wired's "negativity" is only what will be repeated by pretty much every Warrington fan, if we lose at Catalans, be it by one point or forty.'"
Actually I don't think LW's negativity will be repeated by everyone if we lose to Les Cats. I think a lot of the fans on here think that we could easily lose because Cats have a very good side this year and have home advantage.
At the moment Wire are approaching a transition. Briers will not be here for much longer (1 yr ?), Morly is sadly a shadow of the man who smashed Crabtree a couple of seasons ago and Hodgeson is likely to be here for 1yr max. (and prone to injury). Add to that the injury to Monas and its not hard to see why we are not the team we were last season. It means we have to rest our ageing rockstars and either blood our new young talent, or buy some new established talent. TS took a gamble today, but at least had the guts to keep the faith with his young guns. I think we are perhaps all guilty of being a bit negative after a couple of years of high quality rugby. Perhaps we need to cut them some slack and accept we may well see a dip in performance before a new, stronger team re-appears. |

Tbh today we seemed like a cigarette lighter with a broken flint ,plenty of gas in the tank but no spark to get it working. I thought McCarthy seemed to liven things up when he came on as did Harrison & i thought Grix had a good game.Sadly ,at the moment ,O'Brien's close to the line pinpoint kicking needs to be worked on but it can only get better with practice.Higham is having probably his best performances for us to date & good to see Carvell getting back to normal. Things can only get better but Smith's ring must have been twitching at times today.

FFS, I can't believe the negativity around here at times
Our Leader took a calculated risk.....it paid off....great stuff
Youngsters get game time at the highest level...great stuff
One of them picks up a MotM award....great stuff
We win...two points...great stuff
Morley (reading between the lines, today) may well be staying next year...great stuff
We're near the league's summit...great stuff
Yet we've STILL got negative people on here. Tell you what, #### off to Widnes or Cas and take mediocrity/5h1te week in, week out. We don't need your crap round here. We've won the LLS shield and 2 CCs in the last 3 years, and people still bleat. DO ONE, or be thankfull for what we've got.

How many times did DVDV and Andersontry to replace Briers in 1999-2002 because he wasn't experienced enough. Nowe 10 years later we're saying that O'Brien hasn't got the experience to be the main playmaker. O'Brien is where Briers was 10-12 years ago. He's a real; talent and will be a worthy successor to Lee Briers when the time comes. There's been criticism of Myler on this threaf too. He hasn't played for weeks and yet his ability gets questioned even now. How many times does it have to be said before the penny drops with some People? Myler and Briers are completely different in their style of play. He have 9-10 first choice players out and still win a SL game, yet still people moan.
