Warrington Town Fc were the Executive sponsors and I am ashamed (and to be fair to Lee he was embarrassed to receive the award) to be the guilty party (along with my co-directors).
There were other reasons why the club wanted Lee to be with us after the game - and to be fair it was pretty difficult to pick anyone from such a disappointing team performance.
Whats wrong with a simple invitation to Mr Briers to join you and the sponsors in the bar? I reckon he must be used to it, almost part of the job for a long standing pro like him.
Picking him as MOM so he is obliged to join you insults the 'real' MOM and 10000 fans intelligence

Over all Benny Westwood probably deserved it the most - but like I have said there were other reasons why we wanted Lee to join us upstairs with Roger Hunt, England World Cup winner and ex Warrington town player and Ex Wales and Man Utd star Mickey Thomas and other club representatives and sponsors.
I can assure you Lee let it be known he was not deserving of the award.
Sorry if this has caused any offence and hopefully the above explanation helps resolve the mystery.
