You know, I actually was told that we were after Puletua last week. That's another rumour doing the rounds.

He was dropped for round 4 because of his performances, he did come back this weekend (round 5) to play 53 minutes and scored a try though.

I think he's a very good fullback.

If he's coming to play scrum half that's a different thing altogether. That would be most odd.

Meli + Flannery i'd imagine well before Puletua.

That'd leave them with Puletua, Soliola, Perry + Hohaia.

EDIT: Or i've just read that Puletua and Flannery OOC, I can't imagine they wouldn't at least offer Puletua a contract so Flannery will be the odd one out i'd imagine.

Here's my thinking... Royce hinted at the start of this year he's looking at moving Wellens to the back row, so Hohaia comes in there. You now need to lose a quota back row, Hohaia IMO will be on much more than Flannery. Yes they have Eastmonds wages, but this will tie their hands on any further 'big name' signings if it was Flannery out therefore I think Puletua will be the one to go. Well I'm hoping coz he's bloody good!

I'd be amazed if Saints let Puletua go. If they did it would start a mad scramble for his autograph. Top quality forward.

Not sure where he will play, he's not quite up there as a half back (based on NRL form since he started) but compared to the quality of full backs in SL he's up there with the best, but Wellens is the player he will have to replace.

A bit like the Trindall signing in my opinion.

Imo this means pryce is off back to bradford, Lance will play 6 next to Lomax next year, and then switch to FB in 2013 when Wello probably retires

well he's been ripping teams apart every week since he got his shot there, and thats all we can ask. Not much of a kicking game TBH but that could improve with time
