| Quote PADDERS="PADDERS"Crusaders should have proved themseleves first their attendances are disgacefull same as QUIMMS !
crusaders should have met the full criteria before they were admited to SL !
The RFL will never admit they were wrong and expansion only works if their is a supporter base which their isn't in those areas !
As far as Catalans are concerned from my point of view they should set up their own French SL and maybe have a European cup like yawnion if SL and sky are not going to increase the revenue pot then clubs need crowds and Catalan Quimms and Crusaders are the three worst supported teams in SL !
and offer no sign of improvement from a supporter base how long can Quimms survive on their mickey poor support ! or will they just expect another bailout !!!'"
Catalan get good attendances Away support isn't everything, can't really expect a massive contingent to travel to England every week, the same way most other SL clubs don't exactly take a massive following to France, even though they only go once a year.

| This means that Catalans have a bigger salary cap than any other SL club as 2.2m euros is currently the equivalent of £1.96m.
Maybe we could pay our players in Euros from now on.

| Quote Ian 77 Redux="Ian 77 Redux"It's like religion - a fantastic idea but flawed when you pull at the seams even a little bit.
If both divisions were full time, and operating on remotely comparable TV incomes, it would be feasible. However, at present, a crap SuperLeague club pays in the region of 3 times in players salary as a decent Championship club. Most Championship clubs are part time, all SuperLeague clubs are full time. You cannot have businesses of such differing sizes swapping places on a yearly basis. People say franchising is harsh - this would be survival of the fittest at it's most brutal.
Until RL has two divisions in which clubs operate on broadly similar terms, it's a non starter.'"
For me it would be 2 divisions of Superleague, comprising one SL Premier and a SL 1 underneath it, both with 10 teams and a slight lowering of cap and TV money in SL1 compared to Premier. You could also have one P & R place up for grabs each year.
SL Premier - Wire, Wigan, Leeds, Saints, Cas, Hudds, Hull, Hull KR, Bulls and Catalan Dragons
SL1 - Wakey, Salford, Quins, Crusaders, Widnes, Fev, Barrow, Leigh, Fax, Sheffield.

How are Catalan one of the worst supported teams?..they average over 7000 for home games, better than 3 or 4 teams that I can think of.

| Watching Salford v Crusaders, they are making a fantastic advert for cutting the league to 10 teams.
Both sides are rubbish....Time to be really harsh and say goodbye to both, along with 2 others....Send them to a Super League Div II, with the likes of Widnes, Leigh, Barrow, Halifax, etc on a professional basis, and then bring in a 1 up, 1 down system between the 2 pro leagues.

| East and West divisions
8 teams in each play 16 games home and away
MM sees west day and east day
Top 4 in each go into playoffs in a 1v4 2v3 system quarter final
Bottom 4 in each division go into a relegation playoff with themselves
So West 5,6,7,8 play each other from same league (not East) in a 5v8 6v7 format
Winner of each of these games stay up both losers go into a relegation game, loser goes down.
Won't happen like but sounds exciting

Simple if you read it properly I am talking about the lost revenue of SL clubs from the inferior away support of the likes of Qimms Catalans and Crusaders !
Their home support isn't in question but it does bring up why don't the Frogs have their own version of SL and we could then have a Euro cup and leave the league to English teams and bring on our own rather than drag the Frogs along as a sideshow

I like that idea, but 8 team leagues would only be 14 home and away games.
I would take the relegation away from it, and add 8 extra league games - where west plays east teams.
alternate home and away on a yearly basis(i.e: 6 nations style)
So for example, we would play every western team home and away, but would play the likes of Leeds at home 1 year then away the next.
23 league games per season including MM.
Maybe then bring in another competition to make up the games or leave it at 23, as this may benifit the national team?!!! have some international friendlies during the 4 weekends that are free'd up !!
