Good post. I'm not criticising Wolfware - usually fine with me when I go in (funnily enough I'm always fine with them first) - but then it depends what you are expecting. It's a shop. Not a first class hospitality lounge. So if you go in with reasonable expectations and behave reasonably yourself, you shouldn't be disapointed. I've some shocking behaviour from customers in there.

Every other week last year I went into the shop to buy away tickets, I was told every time that I'd be asked for my student ID at the turnstile, never happened.
More recently I rang the shop regarding the state of my home shirt from last year, all the adverts are faded and peeling away, apparently we are now sponsored by the University of Chest. The supervisor was unbelievably rude down the phone, telling me it was 'the law' that I couldn't swap it, despite as a Law student me being able to quote the real legislation. In the end I gave up as I was getting nowhere and close to losing my temper, I couldn't believe the way I was spoken to after having spent so much money in that shop.
2 day customer service training course is needed methinks.

| the retail director is shocking and the attitude of some staff seems to stem from him, i know last year i emailed him and andy gatcliffe about my home tops state, the retail director emailed me back saying that if i brought it in he would swap it.
When i got there he deneied this so i produced the email on my phone and he started stating the sale of goods act INCORRECTLY, in the end i left the top with him and he rang me ten minutes later and said i could swap it and to come back.
At the time he stated hed be embarrassed to wear anything with warrington on it, to me if you cant have a pride in what your selling or the business your operating then it will deffinatley make for a disater.
the staff in the shop are fine and they are only doing what theyre told but the main bloke is an absolute joke and needs some serious training or a demotion.

| I can only speak from my own experience of the club shop, ive never had a problem with the staff, the girls always seem to serve you with a friendly smile.
As for the shop itself, ive been dissapointed at times throughout the year when their has been very little choice in adult sizes, take wembley last year as an example. Their were thousands of fans queing up outside for wembley tickets with cash burning a hole in their pockets, they had virtually nothing in the way of clothing in adult sizes, no training range t-shirts or polos at all, very few replica tops and the ones they did have were small sizes. That was a great oppertunity for the club shop to cash in on wembley by selling lots of merchandise but from what i saw they didn`t make the most of it.

I was told I had an 'uplifting personality' when I worked at Tesco on the tills, and even received a later positive comment, saying I went 'above and beyond the expected level of customer service'. To be honest, all I did was explain how to use a coupon. Frightening that people were on the verge of releasing themselves after somebody supplied them with common sense.

| My dad went to get a ticket last week for the St Helens game and she did the same thing to him. A 70yr old man who was life member season ticket holder and watched his team for 52yrs. SHOCKING
Don't mean this to be funny or pedantic but if your Dad was told the week before to bring his full booklet then wouldn't it make sense based on this experience to take your booklet when you went in? Sounds like you went in expecting to be told you needed your booklet choosing to show your objection because you didn't agree to it. The staff don't stand a chance if customers are deliberately being arkward.
