| About as much chance of Myler going to Hull as there was of Sinfield coming to Warrington.
Mind you that didn't stop a fair few idiots believeing Sinfield was signing and that fairies live at the bottom of your garden.

| Its the usual thing with a young player. Everybody wants them till they see them play then they soon want to say they're overrated.
When there's talk about who should replace Briers usually you get people saying "I'd like to see us bring through someone from the academy, rather than sign an NRL players, there's lads just as good as that in our academy but they don't get given a chance so they just sign for Saints or Wigan instead" (they haven't seen any Academy games they just say it because its the popular thing).
Then this young lad will come off the bench for 15 minutes to get his debut and everyone will say "looks like a great prospect"
Then after he's got 15 starts under his belt the chat will turn to "not a RL player for me, not got the brain for it - get rid to Widnes or Leigh"
Myler is miles better for a comparable age than any other young player I've seen at Warrington since Briers, Harris and Scully. Remember a 19/20 year old Briers was flaky, got targeted in defence, kicked out on the full, erratic decision making sometimes. What we don't want is for Myler to go to Hull and then in 4 years time us be talking about him as one that got away.

Mylers coming off the cap so that you can fit Sinfield on it. Obviously!

| On the basis of the article in LE, Hull would want him on a loan deal until the end of this coming season. Seeing as we have five pivotal players in Briers, Monaghan, Clarke, Higham and Myler I don't see why we can't loan off Myler for the year and play Monaghan at 7 with Clarke and Higham rotating hookers.

| Loan off myler(20 odd tries last year yet underperformed apparently) and keep an ageing clarke in the starting 17? Brilliant thinking!

Completely stupid.
Out of your five "pivotal players" only three of those are first rate half-backs with one of them being not only Warrington's first choice hooker but also arguably the best hooker in the league. So you are going to send one of our first choice half-backs on loan for 12 months to one of our rival clubs leaving uis only two first choice half-backs and weaker at hooker. You're no Wayne Bennett.
Alos as you "don't see why we can't loan off Myler" I suggest you might wish to visit Spec-Savers when they re-open following the festive season as there is obviously something wrong with your eye-sight.

+1 sorry
I'd love RMyler to stay next year. He needs the game time and needs some responsibility. I believe in him and everyone who does should hope to see him improve next season.
I think we should have JC and obviously MM as Hooker. I think he is great here.
I don't mean to sound flippant or crude but i would love to see us either replace or get rid of one trick Mick. I don't know what he brings us except a second rate Cunningham flop. I am open to be lambasted, as long as i am told what he brings.

| It may be one trick, but at least it's effective. When we were very lethargic and almost beaten by bradford away last year higham won us the game with 2 short range tries. He also single-handedly got us back into the play off game versus hudds to the point where we almost snatched an undeserved win. These are just 2 examples from last season, please feel free to point me in the direction of anything simliar clarke did.

I can't pin point times. Just vague memories. They aren't worth much but he is an outstandingly good Hooker. His passes from dummy half are inspired.

Good passing and Mickey Higham is the ultimate oxymoron.

I do think your view on Higham is prejudiced by the fact that Wigan stupidly signed him to be something he isn't - a starting, organising hooker.
As an impact hooker Higham is probably only second behind Roby in the league for me and Roby now has to step up to fill Cunningham's shoes as the starting hooker.
Higham's problems of poor distribution and conceding of penalties tend to come when he has been left on too long and starts to tire. You only need to look at how Smith put him straight into the Wembley 17 for 2009 after being out for months to realise how much Smith rates him in the impact role. Do you claim better knowledge on Higham than Smith?
Anyway back on topic - it seems to me that the conspiracy theorists who insist Smith and Myler fell out over his Wembley omission are active again. I expect Myler to be working hard in the gym and looking forward to some one on one coaching from Johns again with a view to being a key part of a succesfull season for Warrington.
I fancy a little wager on him being Super League's top try-scorer.
