About an hour and a half at 4mph! That's Newton train station to Sankey train station.

Just imagine if you were (when you hopefully are) privatised. You'd do it in 50 mins max.

If we had never privatised BT my internet connection would have taken 3 months to order and would have consisted of two tins and a length of string.

That would be nothing compared to the Pandora's box that would be opened upon the privatisation on The Royal Mail.

We coped with BT, British Steel, British Rail, British Airways and I'm sure we will cope when Royal Mail gets done for. We may even get consumer choice then

Definately not mate. Last time I followed the road from the Hight Street, through Winwick Road, up to past the Swan, and then followed Winwick Road all the way up to the roundabout at LA Bowl, then basically walked almost the full length of Cromwell Avenue up to the Waterworks, Right into Canons Road, and then all the way down until our estate.

That's the best way, keeping to the main roads and the lights. However, the maud has now thrown a spanner in the works by saying she'd pay for a taxi. Does she not know I'm on a health kick?? Heh heh!
