I am making the point that finishing mid-table should not be good enough to give you a chance of winning a grand final, it's just plain daft. I only just about thought Wigan deserved to be in last year but only just, overall I don't think we were good enough to justify being in the play-offs. It should be top 5 or 6 IMO, top 8 is silly.

Dave Halley is very quick and a real talent, hope he kicks on this year, always rated Reardon and be interesting to see how he goes. Alot will depend upon Menzies continuing form and Orford adapting to the style of play and English culture.

don't expect that much early on from then but could come strong towards the end, they should definately be better than last year.

Transition year for Bulls - losing Deacon, Burgess & Morrison will hit them harder than the arrival of Orford & L'Estrange. Can Menzies do it for another season? Look awfully thin in the backs, especially with cover at 6 & wing. McNamara could be first coach in SL to be shown the door next year if things don't get off to a good start.

Agree with that the Bulls always looked decent with Morrison in the side..And they will certainly miss Deacon's kicking game...
Orford is a great signing but could take a quarter of the season to bed in and hit form..

My thoughts entirely.

I think they'll be good entertainment for the neutrals, and be involved in some good close matches, but ultimately frustrating for their own fans, because they'll lose as many of them close matches as they will win.

Also like us with Langer, they'll give some top teams a good shafting, especially at Odsal, but also take a few heavy beatings as well.

P.S....Reading that back it seems like I'm sitting on the fence...

I think they'll ruffle a few feathers, take a few 'scalps' but be unpredictable. They finished the season well though. If the halves click, you'd think they'll be dangerous.
