Smith has previously said he has no current ambition to coach in the NRL, so it doesn't look likely to happen in the next five years or so. He has gone on record saying he and his family are settled here and would not want to uproot to Australia.

However things change in everyones lives and outlook.

Interesting that - who would win a battle of "Show us yer medals"? And how much coaching experience has Johns got other than "helping out" at a few NRL clubs & now Wire? I would hope the club would realise the importance of appointing an experienced & fully qualified coach when TS finally decides to call it a day with us rather than the Kevin Keegan model which ultimately ends in disaster...

I am not naive in the slightest. I am well aware of Joey's drug-taking however to sum up the career and experience of one of RL's greatest ever players to such a base comment does you no favours.

Or of course you may be right and Joey is going to fly half way around the world to simply take neck a shed-load of drugs then pop off back to OZ, get real!
