Q: Hi, I appreciate you may not want to say who the winners medal belongs to but can you confirm if the player is one of the 17 squad at Wembley and I know the description states that the medal is genuine is there anything to authenticate this? cheers

A: Thanks for your interest. The medal is not from one of the playing 17, but is from one of the non-playing players. As i understand it, there were approximately 24 handed out to the players including the 18th man and others who played the earlier Challenge cup rounds. The hallmarks on the medal stamped on the back are what looks like the letters "TF" the numbers "925" an Anchor symbol follwed by the letter "k"

The answer to the question seems to narrow it down to Rauhihi and Pickersgill. I can't see it being a player who is still at the Club.
