| Quote Mark1987="Mark1987"Heard a rumour the funds are going to charity, all to do with the recent BBC sports presenter and her fight over cancer.
Do a team like Wigan need money? I expect Wire make close the the same, with season ticket and match day ticket sales, compared to Wigan.
'"
I hope it is but it doesn't say anything about a charity or a good cause on the advertisement!

| Seeing as Wigan don't get to spend all their money because of the communist cap surely they'd have some left over for a charity donation without the gimmicks

I don't agree with the practice, but an auction has to be fairer for the ordinary punter than being up against businesses who can pay a higher price and claim the cost as marketing expenditure, not pay it out of a wage packet.

It is sad though that they have stooped as low as this and that their mascot now has to pay for the privilage

| Shouldn't this be linked to the 'Semi Final Tickets' thread.
It's an opportunity for someone who couldn't get a ticket.
There's nothing I'd love more than to see Padders or Latchy running out holding Sean O'Loughlin's hand.
