FYI (and Rico's) the "miscreants" I mentioned are merely used to combat some of the hyperbole used in the previous 11 pages.
We haven't gone "into league" with the devil or mass murderers/deviants/despots (i.e. the "miscreants" I mentioned).
We're getting money from a legitimate source, who aren't breaking any rules.
Vaping is not illegal or immoral. Personally, I couldn't gives two hoots on the whole vaping debate.
I've never smoked, and I never will. I'm of the same opinion on vaping.
The money we're getting from this is NOT Nazi gold (i.e. tainted).

As far as I'm aware, the only people who have come to harm from vaping, are the people who charge them up with cheapo imitation chargers, and end up setting their houses on fire.
I've heard several debates, and heard there is no direct correlation between kids vaping, and then "upgrading" to proper cigarettes.
If kids want to smoke 20 Silk Cut, they will. That's where they'll start. They wont use vaping as a stepping stone.

The club have made a commercial decision which their prerogative.
The only factors that bother me are:-
1. Will someone vamping near me affect my health?
2. Will someone vamping near me cause annoyance to me?
As far as I can ascertain the health risks in vapeing are infinitessimal compared to smoking tobacco so I assume passive vamping holds little risk.
As an ex smoker I find being in the vicinity of someone smoking tobacco extremely annoying. If I find being in the vicinity of someone vapeing also annoying I will simply stay away which those espousing extreme anti views can also do.

Have heard that ecigs will only be allowed in one small area of the grounds concourse areas. Caution or back-peddle ?

I suspect they are back peddling. Presumably this is to avoid anybody standing close to an ecig in the stands do not get a 'free whiff' ?

Back pedaling. They would have mentioned it from the start if that wasn't the case. They probably didn't expect there would be so many people opposed to it.

On the subject of marketing e-cigarettes, a couple of people on here have mentioned that they thought of e-cigarettes as a way of quitting the real ones and that they couldn't see non-smokers taking up vaping. I asked my 13 year old son for the smoking habits for kids in his year and he reckons that there are as many people using e-cigarettes as there are proper cigarettes. I asked the same question to my son in law, who is at University, and he says there aren't as many vapors as smokers, but he knows at least a dozen people who use e-cigarettes without ever being a proper smoker before.

And there is the reality. Not some self serving BS research funded by the tobacco companies.

These things are fully designed to perpetuate smoking.

Idiotic kids being idiotic kids. Its just now they have a choice between two stupid habits.
