| As one of Warrington's reps on the RLWC2013 Fans Liaison Advisory Group (FLAG) I have a chance to put forwards my own views and those of our fans. The FLAG group has already had one meeting and the Warrington reps attended the host team launch event at the HJ when it was confirmed we were hosting Samoa. From what I've seen so far, I believe the RFL team organising the tournament and the Warrington team organising the town's involvement are both much better equipped and prepared than for previous events. The Warrington team meets monthly and is already well into its planning.
Our next RLWC2013 FLAG meeting is on Grand Final day. If anyone has any genuine suggestions / feedback / comments for the organisers, I'd be happy to pass them on. I will start a thread in due course to collate them.

There will be half empty grounds everywhere - including at the final if England aren't in it - coupled with limited media interest, and people on here going mad with quotes about how, "We all know rugby league is the greatest game of all" and it's disgraceful that no one else agrees. Those who go the games will be moaning at other RL fans who don't - accusing them of letting "The Greatest Game Of All" down, and those who just aren't interested will say the tournament is a waste of time anyway, while probably having a dig at McNamara (or "McBanana" as they will no doubt hilariously call him) for good measure.
This fume-a-thon will then intensify tenfold a couple of years later when the RU World Cup is played here with far higher attendances - including at games played in the north - and the media reporting that will go with it.
I can't wait.
Sadly I think that is a fair assessment Mystic Murphy one question though why do you find it funny don't you like Rugby League?

Of course I do, but I don't harbour some sort of grudge against "the RU biased media" or wallow in any victim status as a result, nor do I buy into some sort of "we all know rugby league is the greatest game of all" myth when the game's popularity suggests the vast majority of people in this country and around the world disagree.
We're a minority sport played in a small number of regions. We might never be the wealthiest sport, and this might cause a few players to look for riches elsewhere, but as long as we still play in our own regions we will still exist and have a game to watch at the weekend. I'm comfortable with that.

[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

There wasn't an apology, because the club did nothing wrong, and the steward hasn't been sacked. He will simply not be appearing at the HJ again.

Frepney, i'm going to say this once, stop trying to stir, cause an argument or score points or whatever is your reasoning for bringing this up, if you have a legitimate issue with the incident, the contact details for Warrington wolves have been posted on the thread on your forum, go make use of them, if you so wish. Bring it up again like this, and you won't bring anything else up.
Now, just enjoy your offseason. thanks

| Anyone catch the attendance at Man United's League Cup game tonight? When the product is overpriced (£45!) footy is as vulnerable as we are.

That wasn't the lowest priced ticket. Reality is that you can get into Old Trafford for £28 for the lowest price seats. Yes you can pay a lot more but ticket prices is not why that game had a relatively poor attendance.
Although based on an incorrect assumption, you're right about vulnerability. On a slight tangent, some bloke said to my old man t'other week "Warrington are dependent on TV money, if TV went away, you wouldn't survive." He's right. It's not just the money we'd miss, it's the exposure that leads to sponsorship which would also drop. We're very vulernable to losing TV income. Then again, so are Manchester United and all football clubs.
Back to crowds - our ground is 80% full most weeks. Of the 11k that go, about 72% of those are ST holders and therefore the cash is "guaranteed". As long as that stays about the same, and the Salary Cap isn't raised too much, and Sky don't do one, we'll be fine. One off drops in play off crowds are largely irrelevant.
