No one knows how the current Newcastle ownership tussle will play out.
It's a very complex situation, but the basic problem is the guy who bought the club used to be a billionaire who splashed money around like it was going out of fashion, and it turns out, for him, it was. He has turned 1000 million dollars into somewhere between nothing and 10s of millions - no one except him knows for sure.
He wants to keep control of the club, but others including the club members are trying to stick him with the debt and take the club back.
His latest move is to stop paying the 20 top players and staff till the new ownership model is worked out.
Anything could happen next week - from all the top players and Wayne Bennett walking, to everything going back to square one.

I'd like to see if we could get David Fa'alargo playing for us if the Knights are having issues.
He can do a job at prop and has some menace like Westwood in him. He'll have a season and a half in him at top level.

It seems some are getting Michael Dobson mixed up with Anita Dobson, Dobson would be a huge upgrade at halfback for us.

Well an unusual selection happened yesterday.
Knights halfback Roberts is struggling to be fit for today's game, but Dobson was not rested from the reserve grade match.
Hooker Travis Waddell was rested and if Roberts doesn't play, Kurt Gidley will move from hooker to halfback and Waddell will come into the side.
The only possible reason for this is if Dobson is on his way out you would think.

This signing cant come fast enough for me... Ratchford and Dobson would be an excellent pairing. We are desperate for a decent kicker (goal and in play) as well as an organising half.

And if not Dobson, then someone else that could do this for us.

Oh im sorry, i had forgotten that Bridge has solved all our problems.

Not since 2012 have we ran in near 200 points in 4 games.
Spending money looks increasingly a waste to me.
Before we bring in another halfback we need to be looking at selling a couple first.
Dobson would offer moderately more than Myler and a fair bit more than GOB.
Whoever is or if we bring in would still be 2nd fiddle to Bridge at six and those who cannot see that now may still have there head in the sand!

As John Wells pointed out yesterday 'he doesn't look comfortable in the stand off position and you can see it'.

he is doing a good job of filling in there, but he wont be there long term, as he isn't a stand off.
