Id love to know what the hell Tomkins was thinking when he kicked out at McGuire right under the posts. Absolute stupidity and gifted them points. What cost Wigan the game was too many players having poor games, making mistakes in bad areas of the field and a very bad kicking game. Im more frustrated with the players then the final incident. But we all need to move on, Wigan and Wire are now in knock out footy, and that should be the focus. I can see us both winning, but im not sure who Saints would want to pick if that happened. Either way its going to be tough for both of us.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

We only have ourselves to blame for not winning. But what Mcguire did was a disgrace and ANY set of fans would be going crazy after seeing that, and what Lauitiiti did aswell.
I think you would find a similar thread on any board tbh, particularly in the heat of the moment. Im not sure we can get to the GF now, ive lost alot of confidence in them now. At least im going on holiday toady......'"
You did get a penalty, didn't you? What did you expect? A penalty try?

| Yet when their next game comes around against Saints, they'll be absolutely adament that this particular fixture is THE derby! Ive thought for a long while now that Wigan fans see us as their biggest rival. Or certainly a majority do. Its arguably the same with Saints. I never hear chants from either of their sets of fans during a live game aimed at each other, only ourselves.
Its brilliant stuff.
We'll be literally despised when the time comes to win SL for the first time. Seeing Old Trafford filled with Wire fans would be very unsettling indeed. And its largely to do with how well supported and atmospheric we are. Seeing us win trophies must feel like they've had a rolling pin caked in itching powder showed right up their ring aswell!!!
I dont care anyway. Being a Wire fan is an emotional whirlwind, at times awesome, at other times, unbearable. But ya just wouldnt change it for the world!

Step 2- read it back as you still probably just read what you want to
I havent complained about the result, nor did I complain about the penalty we got. BUT its still a disgrace what he did, its not complaining, its my opinion. IMO there would be plenty of people on here angry about it, probably you. If you actually read any of my posts, you would understand that I DONT think we deserved to win. Where the hell you got a penalty try from I dont know...

I dont know about, your going to beat them one day, do they really want to risk it being the last ever game at KR and a semi??? They'll probably look at how both our games have gone. If you walk your game and we struggle in a tough game then Saints might want Wigan. Im not overly confident about friday anyway, although after every loss we have responded very well.

I'm not the d if Saints pick us. If they did they'd pile all the pressure onto themselves for the following reasons :
- No one expects us to beat them see'ing as we haven't for 16 years.
- They would never get over losing their final game at KR to the Wire. Bragging rights would be eternal.
- They're under more pressure to win silverware than us. Wire have won 2 major trophies in the past 2 seasons. Saints have won nothing.
- To win the Grand Final you've got to beat the best teams, so we may have to play them again anyway, whether its at KR or Old Trafford.

| I bet Wigan/ Saints fans don't mind Bradford anymore because they're no longer a threat. We're a threat, so they dislike us.
Bitterness at our recent success.

Wigan did get a penalty, but the penalty was for the wrong thing. Nothing wrong with the tackle on Richards, Donald was committed, nothing he could do.
The pull back was illegal yes and I've seen players binned or even sent off for similar offences in the past, what annoyed me more as a RL fan was that a glaring error from the referee will go unnoticed by Stuart Cummings.
Wigan fans have a right of course to be upset about what McGuire did, it was a professional foul. I feel Albert failed to penalise the offence because it would have meant producing a card to McGuire and referees these days use the kop out report system (my opinion only). This system isn't needed anymore as the video review panel watches each and every incident, yet referees still use it to avoid making a real decision, without making it seem like they're not doing their job properly.
What made it worse was Albert asking the VR for his opinion on the matter and still letting the incident go unpunished.
McGuire should get one game, but then again, Tomkins should be up for 3 or 4 for what he did.
However (and I know you're not one of them Bondi), wishing an injury on a player is about as low as you can sink, not only as a RL fan, but as a human being.

I agree the 'on report' is a kop out system and one that isnt even needed as they review everything anyway. Tomkins is frustrating me, his discipline is costing us, what he did was stupid and imature. TBH I wouldnt mind seeing him get a ban becuase he needs something to make him wake up and realise how poor his discipline is.
As for Alibert, he was embarrassing, he has no idea what so ever. I dont condone wishing an injury on anybody, as you say its as low as you can sink. Many of those, were complaining when Alan Beswick made a coment regarding Amos Roberts injury, so it seems a bit rich then wishing McGuire to be injured. That comes across as very bitter indeed. I think enough of us know we didnt deserve to win and we wernt cheated out of it.

I think you're the one who needs to read stuff before they throw (another) hissy fit.
I didn't say you did want a penalty try - I asked you whether you wanted one or not. I didn't suggest that you stated that you deserved to win either. If you don't want a penalty try, I'm not quite sure what you're complaining about. Maguire's play was cynical and deserved penalising. That was the only decision that was appropriate. Actually, you actually got a penalty for Donald's perfectly legitimate challenge on Richards so actually you benefited from an error, if at all.
If we're whining (rather than wishing their careers were over/backs/necks were broken like Odenwingie and King Warrior) about cynical/stupid play than you might want to have a word with the Tomkins brothers. The outcome wasn't as acute was the Maguire play granted but it's still bad form.
