| Let's face it. As soon as we lose a game this forum thread will suddenly take off again. We are going very very well at the moment.
Enjoy the moment.

My only (current) gripe with him, is him playing Jason Clark and Jack Hughes at the same time. We are a little[istale[/i when they're on, together . Maybe interchange each other.
We looked more dynamic, when they were missing'"
Disagree. I think we're stale when Hill and BMM are on together. We looks alot better going forward with Philbs and Davis tbh

| Turned it around, fair play. We look unbeatable at the minute.

Not sure that I'd go that far. We look more durable and have the ability to turn games round when the opposition get a start on us.
The last two games were only won with a small margin scoreboard, making us very tough to beat rather than looking unbeatable.
Very happy with what I'm seeing, and given the disruptions to the squad, hope there's more to come.

I dont think Aussies drink Fosters, they just export it.

What I would say is that at the moment the team have the [ibelief[/i they will win. We've come from behind, overcome the loss of players and won in the dying seconds; all characteristerics of the kind of mental toughness we've lacked previously.

I disagree. Every week I watch us at the minute there’s a steelyness about us and a belief. Even against Cas I wasn’t worried, we seem to be able to create from anywhere on the pitch and there’s this never say die attitude at the minute. You just get the feeling that that winning try will eventually come. It will take a good team to beat us in this form.

| Strange this thread - nobody has mentioned the change to the rules.
I would argue that that is the single biggest factor in us showing good form ie the new rules suit us - given we've got Clark, Austin and Ratchford.
Possibly other important factors - currently are the spacing of our games is favourable (unlike Hull), and we've a fully fit deep squad.
Now I'm not saying that Prices management and technical nouse aren't important, and certainly there's a 'togetherness' in the team that's not been seen for some time, but I wonder if this is the same Price that was saying he knew what was wrong and knew how to fix it last year, but never did .....

| I’ll reserve judgement until the end of the season. If we get to November with empty pockets, I won’t be thinking ‘Price had a good patch in August/September so I’m happy’. It has to maintained at the business end.
That’s not to say I haven’t enjoyed watching us play some cracking rugby.

| I don’t think there is anything wrong in complimenting the coach on a good run of games. We are quick enough to criticise after 1 poor game. It doesn’t mean he now has a free pass for ever.

Exactly. We are having a purple pitch at the minute although I am impressed with our steeliness which wasn’t there before the COVID break & we seem to of unlocked our attack a little bit more. The rule change seems to have worked in our favour, even though in spells we look gassed we tend to be the fitter opposition and ride it out late game, finding a will/way to win will definitely bowed well come the business end of the season.
If we can go back to back Challenge Cup winners but without winning the Grand Final I suppose I would take that given the circumstances of this season... If we don’t win either I would be disappointed and if we win just the Grand Final I would be very happy, win both I’d be absolutely elated! ...Still a long way to go at the moment, the fixture congestion and possibly players going down injured/COVID could cause us problems later on in the season.
I’m just really hopefully we can keep this form going and can continue to win games, even if Widdop did end up leaving at some point this year I’d still be rather content to have Ratchford at 7 and Ashton at FB. I’ve be been really impressed with the likes of Mamo, Walker and Davies they’ve stepped up... even though they’ve seem to have ‘lesser roles’ in the team they’ve really pushed on and staked a claim for more minutes/starts it’s really pleasing to see. Really hope Mamo gets a new deal be a shame to lose him at the end of the season when his contract is up.

| It certainly is fair to give due credit to 'Pricey' for this run. Also, several regular posters have stated they prefer to be entertained rather than grind out wins, and the team is certainly doing the former at the moment. With an abundance of options for centre/wing and back row getting the absolute best combinations must be hard. With Inglis arriving next year, unless Gelling goes then this may force the coach's hand into more back-row appearances for King, who is starting to look very confident at centre, in fact, very confident all round.
