I’m afraid your view on Lineham is so far off that I don’t know where to start...so I won’t bother.

| Lineham has been up there with our best players over the last 3 seasons, he was a bit pants his first year but from 2017 onwards he's been top notch and up there with one of the first names on the team sheet.
I felt sorry for him on that bomb that he dropped as those lights at salford are way too low, i couldn't see where the ball was when it went above them.
On the other hand, i could die a happy man if someone told me i'd never have to see jake mamo jump for a high ball ever again.
Jason clark was weirdly good last night, we were using him as a link man at one point and he looked better than he had all season.

| Quote: OSWire1993 "of u expected anytgimg other than a loss today then yout too optimistic, history proves that teams drop off after a cc win or loss in a final, especially with a four day turn around, give the lads a break.'"
Correct.
(Firstly, being made to play last night was absolutely scandalous by Sly Sports!)
...That chapter of the season where we had a cushion to fall back on in the table with the CC semi and final being the two most important games in the last two months, is over. We had two excellent performances in those games and looked a great side. We have the CC trophy and a big wad of £winnings£ that come with it.
The six defeats in a row weren’t designed to be that way but it’s happened, but that’s all behind us now. The page has been turned. A new chapter begins today. Weekend off for recovery; a week of hard training; Wakefield at home [first home game for ages!] next week.
Onwards and upwards... Now The Wire!

| The fact is the club should not be in the position of having our top 5 hopes resting on a 5 day Wembley turn round. We have had months of inept, error strewn ,ill disciplined games where the season should have been put to bed. Irrespective of last nights result , the previous league performances have not done a lot to encourage confidence & season ticket sales for next year.

| not reading too much into last night...how can you after the performance at Wembley. There is some deadwood to clear out for sure...but players should not be judged on last night. The fact we had to play it 5 days after a cup final is a disgrace. Sky are actually effecting the end of season standings with demands like that...and they know it.

You have hit the nail on the head. All those pathetic performances during the mid season are the prime reason we are now struggling to stay in the top 5. What we don't know / understand is why they happened. Players not putting in the effort ? Players not following the game plan ? Unballanced pack ? Lack of quality in squad depth ?

Agreed Jason Clark’s best game for us so far, other than one error his kick chase and defending was spot on. He was playing 1st receiver a lot more then Matty Smith was at one point whom seem to go hiding in the first half. Even Henderson came on to speak to Smith after Salford had scored another try to ‘Gee’ him up...

| Whilst we're on the subject, we could also have a clear out on here.
Anyone who's not of the required standard needs to be shown the door....erm, ok, I'll get my coat..

| Lineham tried his damnedest last night aswell as a heroic day effort at Wembley he can finish to if we can get a centre that can put him in a bit of space, one lad I’d seriously be questioning is Livett what has happened to him after that Leeds game last year? Unbelievable game then his form fell of a cliff and he has never recovered it

| I know it is very noble & industrious for our wingers to be coming inside to do the hard yards but we need to be working on a system that involves our wingers receiving the ball on the wing ,through hands.

i said it before, i'll say it again, he finished off some tries in that game, he was in the right place at the right time for a couple of games.

| Lineham started his wire career pretty poorly.... But these last 3 seasons he has been superb... yes there have been a few silly suspensions and he does miss a few games..... but apart from that he has been a solid performer. The amount of hard ball he runs away from our line is right up there. He is a grafter and he always turns up for the big games. His best years could well still be ahead of him as well.
Top player.... one of the first names on the team sheet these days.
This is the most bizarre shout i think ive ever seen.
